I had seen a lot of Luke’s tape heading into this season. Here’s what I thought of his performance against Jenison
- Obvious talent. Huge arm and excellent size
- Lacks decisiveness. Commonly held onto football for too long.
- A couple of excellent throws with great velocity, but a few ill-advised and inaccurate ones
- Excellent athletic upside
- NAIA prosepct

Although I view Luke as a Division 3 prospect, I wouldn’t be surprised if a breakout senior season propels him to D2 offers. First off, you’ve got to love the 6’5″ 205lb size.
Luke is a pro-style QB with a lot of potential but is generally raw. I believe Luke’s strengths lie in his deep ball and quick decision-making. There are several occasions where Luke tosses accurate deep balls, converting an explosive play. Better yet, Luke demonstrates an ability to throw quicky to his first read. He needs better consistency in that area, but I’m glad he does his best to get the ball out quickly. Moving forward, I’d love Luke to develop better IQ and consistency. For IQ, that’ll come with a lot of reps, coaching, and film study. Consistency will come with reps, and cleaning up his fundamentals.
