Looking back, the Jackson camp has been the most unique camp of the MHSAA evaluation period thus far. This camp showcased a very wide variety of prospects from all over Michigan. Notably, not too many well-known high school programs were in attendance, with bodes extremely well for those small-school guys. This article features five great standouts who should all earn offers in the coming two months.

Kadale's name accidentally wasn't printed on the roster, and it sent the college coaches into a frenzy. Immediately after the 1on1s started, Kadale started making plays, and everyone was asking who #29 was. Even more impressively, Kadale was cooking DBs with downfield routes, which is something I had never seen him do. My past exposure to Kadale has been his state championship performances and his highlight tape. Usually, Kadale is seen carrying the offense on his back as a running back. Although he's not the most built athlete, Kadale has excellent contact balance and downfield vision. If he can carry that skillset into the receiver position, then he'll be a monster in college. I know the entire GLIAC is going to be after him and I know he's already earned 4 D1 offers. I'm very excited to see where Kadale ends up.

I'm very happy I had the opportunity to see [player_tooltip player_id='1217527' first='Nathan' last='Fletcher']. In short, he showed me what I saw on film, and I got near-complete confirmation of his abilities. He's a big, strong, long-armed defensive end and the potential is sky-high. The 1-on-1s went pretty well for Nathan. I was impressed with his overall strength. Players were told not to bull rush, so Nathan had to get creative to rush the passer. Nathan is very raw when it comes to his fundamentals and rush moves, but he was still able to push back most linemen with his sheer momentum and strength. There was one play in particular (during 3v2s) where Nathan was double-teamed, and even with a lackluster getoff, he was able to immediately shove the linemen back into the QB.

It's also notable that Nathan was very outgoing, talked to everyone, and was overall an extremely positive person. My gut still tells me his ceiling is far too high to be a D3 prospect. I've seen D2 teams send out offers to very raw players with great measurements, and I think Nathan should be one of those guys.

Ronald stood out by being the most aggressive player at the entire showcase. He won some reps and lost some reps, but some of those wins were dominant. Notably, Ronald did a great job of staying balanced and trying to anchor himself and dive the defender back after initial contact. Once he got his hands on a defender, he always tried to extend his arms and drive. When he lost, it was because of his lackluster fundamentals. Roland's kickstep isn't horrible, but he tends to stop his feet and wait for the defender to make a move before trying to be the aggressor. With a good punch and better footwork, Ronald could be great. I don't think he's far from being a highly-regarded D3 prospect.

Nolan was another good standout. His biggest strength was his very wide variety of pass-rush moves that are obviously well-practiced. Nolan won with great spin, rip, and bull-rush moves. I unfortunately didn't get any video of Nolan, the good thing is that he's a younger prospect who still has time to develop into something special.

I didn't focus on Cason too much, but I wanted to watch a few throws after he earned his Western Michigan offer. Cason performed exactly as I expected- solid throws with great power, timing, and accuracy all over the field. A few times per year, seem to note improvements in Cason's game, and during this camp, I noted improvements in Cason's passing fundamentals. Oftentimes, Cason would throw with an inconsistent, wonky motion, and he seems to have cleaned that up. I also hear that he threw in front of Michigan State coaches that morning before going to the Jackson camp. He's a high-character prospect who has shown noticeable improvements every few months, and the more I think about it, the less surprised I am about the Western offer.
