I’m fully expecting Nathan to have his best season yet this fall. Last year, he served as a good starter against comparatively bad competition. Nathan was able to overpower just about anyone he went against, but it was obvious that he was extremely raw from a fundamental standpoint. This offseason, Nathan has attended countless camps and has undoubtedly improved significantly. I’ve seen Nathan hold his own against some very good big-school prospects, and It’s hard to think he won’t be better off from that competition. Heading into the Fall, I expect to see Nathan have much better over fundamentals, including an improved getoff, hands, overall block shedding, and IQ. Nathan has always been a very high-upside player, and I think he’s going to show more of that upside this season.

I had a field day walking around at the MHSAA Exposure camp in Jackson (and through DMs), telling coaches about

. Some coaches seemed interested, and a few completely brushed me off, but regardless, his play got through to a few programs that sent out offers. Offers from Wayne State, Hope, and LTU reinforce my belief that Nathan is a super high-upside prospect.
Nathan is a raw prospect. Watch his film, and you’ll see that. Though, what I’ve seen in person and on film are potentially elite traits. Nathan fires off the ball very quickly, and sports a great bull rush (though obviously wasn’t able to show it off at camps). In addition, he’s displayed some bend and decent athleticism at camps. Most of all, his size is extremely impressive and enough for any D1 coach to take a look. I think Nathan is a GLIAC guy through and through, and if he can work on his weaknesses this offseason, he’ll have a much-improved Senior season.

Nathan has done a great job of putting in the weight room work to fill out, and it serves him well. He’s big and physical, and has a plethora of moves off the edge. I like the way he is able to keep offensive linemen out of his chest, leaving him open to beat them with speed. I really like how strong of a tackler he is, as he doesn’t get shaken off at all. I hope he gets out to some camps this summer, because I think he could start garnering offers as he puts himself in front of college coaches.

Ever since I first discovered Nathan a few weeks ago, I’ve been constantly writing about him. His ceiling is as high as anyone in this class. 6’5″ 235 isn’t far off from what Aiden Hutchinson measured in as a senior. Nathan is also a great lifter with very good strength. He’s also a state qualifying wrestler. As a defensive end, he sports great power. He can bench press just about any lineman he faces and, when his effort is there, he wreaks havoc in the backfield. He’s a pretty raw prospect as I don’t think his IQ is where it needs to be, but I can very easily see D2 schools jump on him with offers as soon as this summer.

Nathan has one of the highest ceilings of any defensive lineman. A quick look at his twitter will make you lean forward in your seat. 6’5″ 245 with a wrestling background. He also puts up massive weight in the weight room. He has all of the physical tools to be a Division 1 EDGE rusher. Fundamentally and technically, he’s a raw prospect. He’s able to overpower most opposing linemen, and he has decent instincts. Nathan still needs to learn how to get around blocks, be a more explosive player, etc. Right now, I’d recommend him to any Division 2 team who doesn’t mind taking a high-upside project.
