The great thing about team sports is the ability to compliment the skill sets around you, and these tandems do that and more. Detroit King has been a powerhouse program in Michigan for a while now, and Dante Moore Dante Moore 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Detroit King | 2023 State MI and Kenny Merriewather look to help cater to that dominance in the second half of their high school careers. Robert Lalain Robert Lalain 6'4" | 220 lbs | QB Divine Child | 2023 State MI and Dylan Senda Dylan Senda 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Divine Child | 2023 State MI are right there with Moore and Merrieweather, and look to bring the Divine Child program to the spotlight as well.
Dante Moore Dante Moore 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Detroit King | 2023 State MI , 6’2, 180, Detroit King
Moore is not only the number one player in the state, but he’s well known nationally as one of the best quarterbacks around. He’s got a great frame to continue to add size to, and while the quarterback position continues to evolve he’s got the athleticism evolve with it. One of the most important traits to look for in top gunslingers is a natural ability to toss the ball, which Moore has. There’s no struggle, or awkward throwing motion that will limit him at any level, making him an absolute force as he heads into his junior season.
Kenny Merriewather, 6’3, 190, Detroit King
Merrieweather does a great job of forming a dominant tandem with Moore, as he’s got elite size and a great catch radius. He’s a versatile player that could see himself playing either side of the ball at any given time, but for now he is an outstanding target for Moore at the wide receiver or tight end position. The duo are on a quest to bring Detroit King towards a deep playoff run, and have as good a chance as any program. Detroit King is absolutely loaded, led by this scary tandem in the pass game.
Robert Lalain Robert Lalain 6'4" | 220 lbs | QB Divine Child | 2023 State MI , 6’3, 195, Divine Child
Lalain reality has an opportunity to jump onto the scene during his junior season. He’s got a solid frame, and really separates himself from other quarterbacks at this level as he throws with great anticipation, timing and accuracy. Lalain’s best trait is his accuracy, but he also has good foot speed and an ability to evade a condensed pocket and make things happen on the ground, if need be.
Dylan Senda Dylan Senda 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Divine Child | 2023 State MI , 6’5, 270, Diving Child
Part of the reason for Lalains success is his blocking up front, led by Senda, a big time center prospect on the team. He does a great job of blocking up front for the run game, thus relieving stress from Lalain in the pass game. He’s got very good size, a great release off the ball, and strength that consistently overpowers opposing defenders. Some of Sendas highlights are absolutely beautiful to watch, carrying his blocks 10-15 yards down the field. This duo has a chance to form something special for Divine Childs offense, as they look to continue their success into their junior seasons.
