Easily could have been considered Co-MVP of the LB group, Ethan was lights out at the Showcase and caught plenty of peoples eyes. Looks the part of a LB at 6’1″ with a wide shoulder frame and hands to his knees with self reported 78″ wingspan. In combine testings he posted the 8th best overall L-Drill score with a 7.03. That score translated throughout the day for Ethan as he displays outstanding COD ability and fluid hips. He also had a top 20 overall SBJ with 9’2″.

A polished LB prospect, Ethan went through drill work like a veteran. Smooth, fluid, fas and in control. While able to bend & burst, re-direct quickly and looking like a high level athlete for the position. During 1v1s Ethan showed he is a dominant coverage LB as well. Something I had seen from him on film/live in game as well, he showed that once again in the camp setting. Knew to stay balanced with quick feet and in control, not over jumping routes or getting turned around. Ethan displayed great instincts in coverage. Would jump routes, under cutting the RB to the ball. He also has nice ball skills for a LB, getting multiple pass break ups and an impressive INT as well.

A complete LB prospect, able to play outside or inside…Ethan has the size, build and athleticism to be a highly recruited player. I recently just had him as the #4 LB prospect in the updated 2027 MD/DC/DE rankings and this performance more than backed up that ranking. Currently Ethan has no offers yet, but he is an offer player at the FBS/FCS and college coaches need to make sure he is on their boards.

Stanford is a versatile defender who can make impact plays from all over the field. Whether playing from the tranditional middle/outside linebacker position or coming off the edge, his reaction time stands out on both run and pass plays. Several of Stanford’s highlights of him playing the run shows him diagnosing run plays fast, flowing to the football, and tackling with solid tackling technique. When he comes off the edge, Stanford flashes both explosiveness and bend. I’ve seen him in both camp and 7v7 action and Stanford has shown that he can cover running backs all over the field in 1v1 situations. Definitely has a nice upside as a prospect, Star position comes to mind.

An athletic LB that is capable of wrecking havoc up the middle and from the outside, he is a do it all LB for McNamara. He has good size at 6’2″ 205lbs and plays with speed and recklessness. Ethan is a very effective blitzer from multiple angles. He has excellent timing and burst through the LOS that leads to lots of tackles for loss and sacks. He has smooth hips that allow him to re-direct and get sideline to sideline, play in space, and be effective in pass coverage as well. Ethan is #3 LB in his class a key piece to what looks to be a potentially dominant McNamara defense this fall.

I only had an opportunity to see Stanford in one game (Team Shine). During that game, he broke up a pass in the red zone (see video below). His performance during the weekend earned him an invite to one of the NXGN Pro Day Camps (sponsored by Adidas) in 2026. I had an excellent opportunity to see him stand out as a leader on the field during the game I watched. He helped his teammates by explaining pass coverages on the fly and didn’t get down on them when coverage breakdowns led to touchdowns. Stanford is clearly on the radar, and all he needs now is a strong junior year to improve his stock even more as a rising 2027 prospect.
