Scouting the top available 2027 QBs

<p>The high school football regular season is halfway through for most teams in the state of Tennessee and a strong amount of players have taken another step forward in their development process.</p>   <p>Among those, are several seniors that are currently uncommitted and still looking for a potential fit at the college level over the next couple of months.</p>   <p>There are a handful of talented senior quarterbacks that remain available in Tennessee halfway through the regular season.</p>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">GCA QB [player_tooltip player_id='1292341' first='Corbin' last='Hobson']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1292341' first='Corbin' last='Hobson'] is a senior quarterback with a good, strong frame with projectable arm talent and athleticism for the collegiate level.</p>   <p>He has a natural ability to push the ball downfield and does it with excellent touches, constantly generating explosive passing plays in his first year playing for GCA.</p>   <p>He has the mechanics and arm talent to be a consistent quarterback for a college program. However, his offense is filled with playmakers and most plays consist of a single read, so he could need some time adjusting to the college game. It will be interesting to see the performance of the offense when he faces a top program in his classification.</p>   <p>While he is not explosive and does not look to run, he is a solid athlete that can pick up first downs as a scrambler consistently. He could use some time to tighten his mechanics before playing at a level in which the game is played faster, but the arm talent to make throws in the intermediate is evident.</p>   <p>His touch and anticipation translates to every level of the field and he constantly throws his receivers open, even with several defenders in the area.</p>   <p>He is not a great athlete, but he can convert short yardage situations and is able to effectively hit throws in rollout situations.</p>   <p>Overall, Sparks is a quarterback with intriguing size, arm talent and anticipation that could translate to the next level with good coaching.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/brody7sparks/status/2097715571890540880 </div></figure>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Knoxville Central QB [player_tooltip player_id='1104268' first='Kaden' last='Long']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1104268' first='Kaden' last='Long'] is a senior quarterback prospect with solid size and arm talent with an additional ability to punish defenses with his legs.</p>   <p>He has shown that he can deliver the ball with good velocity and that extends to pushing the ball downfield.</p>   <p>He is currently best at driving the ball downfield and toward the sideline, but as his mechanics improve some with college coaching, he could become a consistent presence on quick hitting routes over the middle of the field with his arm talent.</p>   <p>Another reason it could work is the RPO aspect as Long is a natural runner. He lacks long speed, but he has plus initial acceleration and can make the first defender miss regularly. He has already proven to be dangerous as a runner from RPO settings and with more coaching, he could be a dangerous all-around threat in RPO actions.</p>   <p>Overall, Long is a quarterback with solid size plus intriguing arm talent and dual-threat ability, projecting strongly in a RPO-heavy offense with good coaching at the next level.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/CalebJarreau16/status/2093503068583149702?s=20 </div></figure>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Battle Ground Academy QB [player_tooltip player_id='2161201' first='Bo' last='Bryan']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2161201' first='Bo' last='Bryan'] is a senior quarterback prospect that holds an adequate frame and a solid skillset with plus composure.</p>   <p>He is a tad undersized, standing in the 6'0-6'1 range, but has a strong build and is a tough runner when he leaves the pocket.</p>   <p>As a thrower, he is an effective point guard type distributor for a BGA receiver room filled with talent and speed. He has good location and finds the open receiver to hit accurately.</p>   <p>As the son of a celebrity, he is very composed and is not often fazed by pressure, regularly stepping up in the pocket against one of the best programs in the entire nation (Milton). He does a good job of finding the open receiver in an offense that generates explosive plays at will.</p>   <p>However, he does lack velocity on his throws and that has limited his ability to fit throws into tight windows. He is an effective scrambler that can pick up tough yards if he can not find an open receiver.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/shaynep_media/status/2098584871492825350?s=20 </div></figure>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Silverdale QB [player_tooltip player_id='1535798' first='Connor' last='Jenne']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1535798' first='Connor' last='Jenne'] is a senior quarterback prospect that has a very projectable skillset that could be truly unlocked with good coaching at the college level.</p>   <p>He has a very good frame, standing around 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, and has impressive velocity on his throws that stems from the impressive build.</p>   <p>He is best at driving the ball downfield right now and can consistently push the ball down the field to generate explosive throws. This ability also shows out when targeting receivers on out-breaking routes.</p>   <p>While he is not an exceptional athlete, he is an effective runner in RPO situations, and run fakes with the tailback could open up more throwing lanes for him at the next level.</p>   <p>He will need to continue to receive coaching to unlock his potential at the collegiate level to create a more sturdy base and layer throws over defenders consistently.</p>   <p>If a college program is willing to work with Jenne, they could unlock an exciting quarterback talent that can drive the ball downfield and generate explosive plays in the passing game.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/shaynep_media/status/1998468840049574220?s=20 </div></figure>
