More Standouts from Week 2

<p class="text-gray-700">West Springfield has a tall task on hand this Thursday when they welcome in state power Madison. The Spartans have made light work of their first two opponents, and [player_tooltip player_id='1601625' first='Kyle' last='Lewis'] is playing well as a first year starter. Both him and [player_tooltip player_id='1664108' first='Issa' last='Owens'] have had their moments in their rotating quarterback system. Kyle is bigger and stronger from a year ago and with the Spartans young offensive line, he will need to be on point against a menacing Warhawks defense. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Carter was a beast last year for Herndon and he was awesome at our Winter showcase. He has transferred to Harvest Covenant and his high level of play has continued. I remember his former coach mentioning to me in January that Carter's potential was just at the beginning and he may have been right. He is trending to get a few offers before seasons end and is going to be a matchup nightmare all season. I mean look at this catch below and watch how he rumbles home for the touchdown. The gunslinger and captain of the Vikings looks poised to lead them on a district title run. This kid throws an excellent deep ball and had a couple of offers before his senior season began. I would think many FCS schools are going to go hard after him once his final season in Ashburn is complete.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Top ranked 2029 prospect out of Midlothian High School [player_tooltip player_id='1656711' first='Jayshaun' last='Anderson'] has been on a roll. He already has a pick six and 100 yards receiving, Anderson is developing into a star. Through 2 blowout victories he has 6 receptions for 145 yards and a score, he looks faster than when I saw him at our Spring showcase too. Whether its under center or at defensive back the young man is around the football constantly.
