Las Vegas Week 4 Top Performers

Week 4 of the Nevada high school football season brought another exciting weekend of action across Las Vegas. Several of the area's top players delivered huge performances and helped their teams pick up important victories. From explosive offensive performances to game-changing plays on defense, some of Southern Nevada's best seniors stepped up when their teams needed them most. The Class of 2027 continues to show plenty of talent, with several prospects making strong cases for more attention on the recruiting trail. Here are five Las Vegas standouts who delivered some of the biggest performances of Week 4.    Phillips continues to put together an impressive senior season as one of the anchors of the Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon defense. The physical linebacker was all over the field in the Pirates' dominant 49-7 victory over Somerset Losee, finishing with 14 tackles and a sack. At 6-foot and 235 pounds, Phillips brings excellent size and physicality to the middle of the defense and has the strength to take on blockers and shut down the run. He plays with a high motor, attacks downhill, and consistently finds himself around the football. Phillips continues to prove he is one of the more productive senior linebackers in Las Vegas this season.     Quaglio is picking up right where he left off after a strong junior season and continues to establish himself as a major weapon in the Pirates' passing attack. The senior receiver had a monster performance against Somerset Losee, catching five passes for 133 yards and three touchdowns in the 49-7 victory. Quaglio has the ability to stretch the field vertically while also creating separation and making plays after the catch. His combination of route running, reliable hands, and big-play ability makes him a difficult matchup for opposing defensive backs. With performances like this, Quaglio continues to make a strong case to earn his first Division I offer.     Fox stepped up in one of the biggest moments of the weekend as Faith Lutheran earned an impressive home victory over Southern California's Damien High School. The senior defensive back finished the game with seven tackles and an interception while making his presence felt throughout the night. His biggest play came late in the game when he secured the game-sealing interception for the Crusaders. Fox showed strong instincts in coverage, the ability to come downhill and tackle, and the confidence to make a play with the game on the line. His performance against a quality out-of-state opponent was another strong showing for the Class of 2027 defensive back.     Williams continues to have a big senior season and delivered another explosive performance for Mater East in its 51-20 victory over University City out of San Diego. The senior running back needed only eight carries to rack up 153 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Williams showed excellent explosiveness and the ability to turn limited opportunities into huge plays for the Knights' offense. His combination of speed, vision, and ability to finish runs makes him a dangerous weapon every time he touches the football. Williams' production this season continues to make him a senior prospect worth following closely as Mater East moves deeper into its schedule.     Helsham delivered an impressive all-around performance while leading Desert Oasis to a 33-19 victory over Spring Valley. The senior quarterback showed his ability to beat a defense with both his arm and his legs, throwing for 221 yards and two touchdowns while adding 56 rushing yards. Helsham looked comfortable directing the offense and showed the athleticism to extend plays and pick up yards when opportunities opened on the ground. His dual-threat ability forces defenses to account for him on every snap and gives Desert Oasis multiple ways to attack opponents. Helsham's Week 4 performance was another strong example of the playmaking ability he brings to the quarterback position.
