Week 2 showcased a ton of big games across the state of Michigan. East Kentwood rolled into Byron center Thursday night with alot still to prove and they did just that. Lets Take a look at some of the players for each team that showed up and showed out in front of a sold out crowd.

There may not have been a more impressive looking athlete on the field than Kenneth. This hard hitting junior was a force all night for the Falcons. Kenneth is a legit 6'1" and at least 185 plus pounds. I was impressed with Kenneth's physicality that he plays with and his over all speed he showcased all night. Kenneth is extremely rangy and covers ground in a hurry. Kenneth is also a big time hitter and came up all night and delivered big hits in the run game also. Kenneth is only a junior but its very clear the will be a highly recruited player and will garner major division one attention all year long.

I am not sure anyone had a bigger night than Stephan had. This speedy senior wide receiver made big catch after big catch racking up 150 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. Stephan ran excellent routes and showed sharp cutting ability gaining separation from defensive backs all night. On multiple plays the Grand Valley commit made tough catches look routine. He stretched out for balls and picked up a ton of yards after catch. Stephan is a game breaker for the falcons and you better know where he lines up at all times or these numbers will be the normal for this dynamic wide out.

Dallas was a player I was excited to watch in person and this tough nosed running back did not disappoint. I was impressed with Dallas ability to stay patient and let his offensive line do there job before he explodes through the hole for big yards. Dallas also does a good job catching the ball out of the backfield and using his speed to make chink plays for the falcons offense. But his best attribute I saw from Dallas was his ability to drive through contact and pick up tough yards for the falcons when they needed them the most. On multiple plays Dallas was able to take on would be tacklers and win the one on one battles to move the chains for his team.

Brady's Byron Center team may not have won the game but this kid showed up and was a complete gamer for his bulldog teammates. On the 4th play of the game star running back cam Payne went down with and injury and the offense fell squarely on the shoulders of Brady. This versatile quarterback was able to make multiple plays with his arm but showed to be extremely dangerous with his feet also. Brady battled all night and made some huge plays including a long touchdown run that got the bulldogs back in the game in the 3rd quarter. I really liked Bradys response to adversity and see a big year ahead for Byron center.

Colin was a bit of an unknown heading into the show down on Thursday night, but its did not take long to realize that this kid is special. Colin finished the night with 264 yards and 3 touchdown passes. I was impressed with Colin ability to make tough anticipation throws and make accurate strikes down the field. Colin also did an excellent job all night with his feet picking up tough yards on the ground to keep the defense off balanced. Colin also showed he can push the ball deep down field with good touch. I loved Colin's pocket presence as he did not panic when his first read was not open. East Kentwood is one of the best teams in the state and they have a very dangerous QB at the helm that can carry a team a very long way.

Major had an excellent night all night in the secondary for the falcons. East Kentwood boast one of the best secondary in the state and it was on full display all night. On multiple plays major suffocated the wideout and gave them no space to even attempt a ball. Major also flew up in run support and delivered the boom on tailbacks all night. I was very impressed with how well major communicated with the other secondary members and he showed to be a true leader for his defensive squad. major shows all the tools you are looking for in a big time safety and he will be looked to all season to make the big play or stop when needed.
