Under Recruited D1 Prospects Part 2

As we start the season tonight, I wanted to take another look at some Colorado prospects who have D1 potential yet are under recruited. Rueschhoff is bruising linebacker for Cheyenne Mountain and is a leader on that defense. Measures in at 5'10 205-pounds. Last season, he had 75 total tackles (58 solo, 17 assisted), 12 TFL, 3 sacks, 4 QB pressure, 2 PD, with 3 FR. Rueschhoff displays very good athletic ability due to very good change of direction, lateral quickness, acceleration, speed, and good jumping. Rueschhoff has very good read and reaction speed. He has very good range. Consistently using his athleticism to prowl the field and tackle ball carriers. Rueschhoff also excels at attacking gaps downhill. Explosive blitz take off speed paired with very good get off and block shedding. Quickly disengages and puts pressure on the QB. He has very good strength and tackling too. Uses his zone coverage and athleticism to cover tight ends out in space. High character and great football player. Must recruit.     Osburn measures in at 6'3 190-pounds and is an excellent well-rounded tight end. Last season, he had 38 receptions for 495 yards with 5 touchdowns. Osburn displays very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, jumping, and good change of direction. Good release at the line of scrimmage escaping getting held up at the LOS. Quick cuts breaking into his route with good route running ability. Very good separation quickness. Osburn creates separation with his athleticism or fighting through contact. Does a good job coming back during the scramble drill for an easy completion. Very good ball tracking and catching. Strong hands to hold onto the ball and pluck it out of the air. Very good body control and ball adjustment. Does a great job on contested catches. Good YAC ability. As a blocker, he shows good strength and hand placement. Creates running lanes for his back or extra time in the pocket for his QB. Great all around tight end!     Modrzewksi is an exciting LB/RB. He measures in at 6'2 205-pounds. Last season, he had 86 carries for 609 yards with 11 touchdowns, 9 receptions for 125 yards with 2 touchdowns, 64 total tackles (45 solo, 19 assisted), 12 TFL, 4 QB pressures, 2 sacks, 2 INT, 1 PD, and 1 FR. He really filled out the stat sheet. Hudson displays very good athletic ability due to very good balance, speed, acceleration, and change of direction. As a running back, he uses his very good vision to effortlessly find routes through the defense. Picks, slides, and accelerates into the open hole. Very good inside running and outside running. Turns the corner and is gone. Good ball tracking and catching out of the backfield. He gains yards after contact due to his balance, and shedding tackles. Puts his shoulder down and trucks through defenders. As a linebacker, he has very good read and reaction skills. Consistently where the ball is and always making a play. Very good get off and block shedding, living in the backfield at times. Great two-way player looking to make another statement this season.     Trujillo is the type of leader you want on your team. High character, coachable, and brings intensity to the team. He measures in at 6'0 195-pounds and is an elite punter. Last season, he had 53 kickoffs for 2788 yards with 21 touchbacks, 35 punts for 1423 yards, 16 inside the 20, with his longest being 70 yards. Trujillo has very good kick strength and a fluid kicking motion. Launches into the ball and explodes it downfield with ease. Very good kick accuracy and leg control. Trujillo has great hang time on his punts as well, allowing his special team's unit to reach the opponent quickly. One thing about Trujillo is he has very good competitive toughness. Consistently lifting up teammates and being a leader on the team. He is going to lay out a returner if they get near him. Great player who can instantly elevate a team.     Cordova plays WR/DE measuring in at 6'3 185-pounds. Last season, he had 91 total tackles (63 solo, 28 assisted), 13 TFL, 3.5 sacks, 3 QB pressures, 1 PD, 5 FF, 3 FR, 27 receptions for 575 yards with 10 touchdowns. He has very good athletic ability due to very good jumping, speed, acceleration, and good change of direction. As a DE, he has very good initial quickness with good hand speed to engage the OL. Good bend around the edge with good flexibility. Good block shedding and get off speed. Cordova has a strong bull rush to knock OL off their anchor. Very good tackling with relentless pursuit. As a receiver, he displays very good release at the line of scrimmage. Uses his short area quickness to create separation. Very good ball tracking and catching to pluck the ball out of the air. Good ball adjustment and very good body control. Cordova does a great job on contested catches. He's also a good run blocker. Watch out for Cordova this season.
