Enjoy!

The 2026 football season kicks off this week and we're kicking off our coverage with complete and in-depth breakdowns on the state's senior class. This is a class that will go down in the history books as one of the best in state history. We've updated our 2027 rankings to include the Top 200 prospects in the state. We have a ton of individual breakdowns dropping every day to spotlight some of those special prospects. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at the top newcomers to the 2027 rankings from the line of scrimmage. Starting with the top four offensive linemen added followed by the top three defensive linemen. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2027 individual breakdowns!

There is a lot of potential for Union to have one of the better offensive line units in 6A-1 this season. They have some very strong guys on the line of scrimmage and they have a solid mix between the tackles and the interior guys. Leading the way at left tackle will be [player_tooltip player_id='1836865' first='E'Mareon' last='Edison'] and he's an emerging talent in the state's 2027 class. We didn't know much of anything about Edison about six months ago but that quickly changed. Edison then blew up on the recruiting trail and he eventually committed to Stephen F Austin this summer. Edison is a massive force on the line of scrimmage. For his size, he's pretty quick out of his stance and that allowed him to win a lot of reps this offseason at various camps and padded camps as well.

Antlers offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='2343620' first='Preston' last='Cannon'] might be the best kept secret in Oklahoma. In every class, you have guys flying under the radar but all it takes is one school to uncover him and then the snowball effect begins. Cannon measures in at 6'5 and over 300 pounds. He is an absolute force in the weight room but he can also move incredibly well for his size and ability to push weight around. We can't wait to see what Cannon looks like this season because he has had a very productive offseason. All signs point to him being one of those hidden gems that bloom late, get offered late and then sky rocket up the rankings. We're just letting you know now, Cannon has that kind of potential and he's a prospect we're watching very closely this fall.

Skiatook's [player_tooltip player_id='1831572' first='Jaxon' last='Oleson'] is another 2027 prospect that has blown up quite a bit this offseason and is coming into his senior year with a lot of momentum. As a prospect, Oleson is on every D2 radar in the region at this point, he's been offered by pretty much everyone at that level. There's a belief that with a strong senior season, he could have an opportunity to get to the D1 level. We watched him back in May and we love the mean streak that he plays with. And the biggest thing that stood out to us was the ability and desire to finish a block. This was a team camp in May so the stakes were not that high but they felt high when he was driving dudes all the way to the sidelines. Oleson was a no-brainer as a prospect that needed to debut in the rankings this week.

Choctaw offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1837201' first='Kade' last='Donaghey'] is a new Yellowjacket this season after coming over from Shawnee. When we got a chance to watch Donaghy in the spring, he was one of the more dominant defensive tackles that we watched in person. He is going to give the Yellowjackets depth and overall talent on the line of scrimmage. It looks like they will primarily use him as an offensive lineman and he's being recruited on that side of the ball. But we'll just throw it out there, he's a legitimate two-way guy on the line of scrimmage. There is a lot of potential there for him moving forward. He's going to be an instant impact player for the Yellowjackets this season. He was a 2027 prospect that really impressed us this spring so he was definitely someone that was going to debut this week.

Mustang defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1837023' first='Maddox' last='Gregg'] is a nasty defensive lineman to watch this season. He moved to Mustang this offseason after having a very strong junior season with Edmond North. We knew about the production but then we put on the tape and it's hard not to be impressed with what he's able to do on the line of scrimmage. We also got to see him in person back in the spring and he is going to be a problem for opposing offensive linemen this season. Mustang has some dudes on the defensive side of the ball but Gregg is a prospect that should have his stock continue to rise as the season continues throughout the fall. He's also a 2027 prospect that started blowing up a little bit and getting more on the radar this offseason.

We recently wrote about Nathan Hale defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1830602' first='TJ' last='Wells'] during our Nathan Hale preview and now he debuts in the 2027 rankings along the defensive line. In that preview, we talked about Wells being that prototypical interior defensive lineman that impacts the game beyond the stat sheet. When you have a very strong defensive tackle or nose guard, those guys don't always have the luxury of stacking up tackles for loss or sacks. But with a good one, they are usually opening things up for other defenders to make plays. That's what Wells has the ability to do for Nathan Hale. Don't get us wrong, he routinely gets a strong push and can get in the backfield but opponents try to slow him down and that opens things up for others.

Muskogee defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1718190' first='Anthony' last='Harris'] is a 2027 prospect that might be categorized as a “tweener” when it comes to the next level but for now, we have him listed as a defensive lineman because he was an absolute animal on the line of scrimmage for the Roughers. Harris is coming off a junior season where he was incredibly productive. You could make the argument that he will be their best player or right up there as one of the best on the defensive side of the ball and maybe on the team in general. We went back and saw some of his production from last season and the film and it's really hard not to be impressed with the energy that he plays with. He does not get beat at the point of attack very often and that typically puts him in the backfield.
