Summer Scouting Spotlight: Under-the-Radar Playmakers To Watch

All throughout the summer, we'll be taking a look at some top returning starters and young prospects who will make a big impact as the season rolls around this fall, spotlighting several prospects. Stephens, a Class of 2027 recruit, is very good in pass protection as well as a run blocker. He has very good first-step quickness, is quick to snap and step, and is a great puller in the run game who can move and block in space. In pass pro, he can shuffle, slide his feet and engage against twists and stunts. He is likely a guard at the college level. Hubbard is more of a possession wideout who can work on his own on the perimeter, create space and snatch the ball out of the air. He displays good hands over the middle of the field and has the height and size to be a successful prospect, based on summer 7v7 film. The Class of 2028 athlete flashes strength in space as a running back. He is more of a north-south runner who wastes no time getting vertical with the ball in his hands. At defensive back, he wraps up on contact and flashes being a good open-field tackler. The Class of 2027 defensive back takes great angles to the ball and is very instinctive. What impresses me about Glenn the most is his ability to come to balance, stay square to ballcarriers and wrap-up without breaking contain.
