The first week of high school football kicked off with a bang week one. While it had it's fair share of sloppy play, penalties and defensive battles, it also had some players come right out of the gate with big performances. Here is a look at some of the stat monsters from it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1198142' first='Robert' last='Eatherton'] 6'1" 210 RB Vianney 2027
- 25 carries for 272 yards and 5 touchdowns.
- This senior running back missed his junior season due to injury last year but made up for lost time in his season opener this year. Eatherton has been a varsity player who contributed since he was a freshman. He has great size, and runs with power, but also has good burst and surprising speed that makes him tough to tackle. Picks up good yards after contact.

Prince Collins 5'10" 190 RB Hickman 2027
-16 carries for 249 yards and 3 touchdowns, 3 catches for 71 yard and 2 touchdowns
- Collins showed flashes last season of what was to come, and had a terrific jamboree of what is to come this season two weeks ago when I watched him. He is shifty and can weave through a crowd of defenders with his quickness and balance, and once he turns a corner and hits an extra gear with his burst he can take it to the house. Prince is an all-purpose back who finds space and catches the ball well.

Jett Black 6'1" 170 QB Windsor 2028
- 19 carries for 306 yards and 3 touchdowns
- An option quarterback who is in his second year as the starter, and really had a big night running the flexbone offense. He has gotten bigger, stronger and faster in the offseason, with it showing on the field as he racked up big runs, including 84 and 82 yard touchdown runs to average almost 20 yards a carry in helping lead his team to a opening win for the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1673297' first='Carter' last='Shafer'] 6'3" 190 QB Troy Buchanan 2028
- 20 of 32 for 332 yards and 5 touchdowns
- The junior quarterback has waited his turn to showcase the level of talent he displayed on Friday throwing for over 300 yard with 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. Carter has big arm and has continued to improve his accuracy and ball placement. He does a nice job finding his target and putting it on the money. He's a good athlete and makes good decisions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1187178' first='Tucker' last='Swinton'] 6'5" 200 WR Parkway South 2027
- 8 receptions for 168 yards and 3 touchdowns
- After making the switch to receiver from quarterback, Swinton has really showcased some impressive abilities catching the ball and making plays. He's a big target with good speed and hands. He has a basketball background and does a good job using his height and putting his body between him and the defender to shield the ball from them to where only he can make the grab. He's verbally committed to Southeast Missouri State.
