LEE'S SUMMIT

Matthew Ahrens SB/KR 2029 5'9" 185
- It was quite the debut for the sophomore wide receiver on Friday night. Ahrens did most of his damage behind center in the Tigers single wing offense in the position they call superback. The superback takes the direct snap in the shotgun and can run or throw the ball. The majority of the time it was run first. The speedy athlete was tough for opponents to chase down as he rushed for 19 carries for 179 yards and scored 2 touchdowns on the night. He's a explosive athlete who really caught my attention as a freshman at the Elite Combine showcasing his talents. Look for a big season from him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1590205' first='Drew' last='Benassi'] LB/SB 2027
- The Wyoming linebacker commit also played the superback position, and did most of his damage for the Tigers at that position with 24 carries 163 yards and a touchdown. He really helped seal the game by keeping a drive going in the fourth quarter with only 3 points being the difference. Benassi also had 5 tackles on defense. He's a big, powerful linebacker who can really run and shows a lot of toughness.

[player_tooltip player_id='1667951' first='Will' last='Seiler'] OT 2027 6'6" 293
- The big offensive tackle anchored the offensive line that did a great job opening holes all night for all of it's runners to put up big yards and keep the ball in their offense's hands to lead them to victory. Seiler moves extremely well for his size, and his powerful run blocking is his strength. While the Tigers don't throw the ball often, Seiler is also very proficient with his pass pro as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1324004' first='Khaelen' last='Kwi'] DT 2027
- The Tigers massive nose tackle has actually slimmed down in the offseason, and is down to 330 pounds. His drop in weight has made him quicker and more agile, while he is still a strong two gap defender that can clog the middle, but also put pressure up the middle, and has a great motor. Khaelen had 3 Total tackles, 3 tackles for loss in the win.

Grant James LB 2028 6'0" 195
- A junior linebacker who was very active and made plays all over the field in the win for Lee's Summit, He came up with important stops when needed and it seemed like the Jags were going to capitalize on some drives. Showed good quickness and speed. James had a big night and was the defender who stood out most for the Tigers in the game, He recorded 10 tackles and a sack on the in the season opener.

[player_tooltip player_id='1587367' first='Prince' last='Goldsby'] LB 2027 6'4" 210
- The Ohio State commit continued where he left off as a junior using his explosive athleticism and speed to make defensive play and put pressure in the Lee's Summit backfield. He drew a lot of attention from blockers but still managed to have multiple tackles and a sack for the Jaguars.

[player_tooltip player_id='2072029' first='Archie' last='Buttram'] QB 2028 6'2" 210
-What seemed like a slow offensive start really picked up in the second half, as Buttram's dual threat skills came to live and he showcased a strong arm with good accuracy, and some impressive power running skills to help bring his team back and keep them in the game to the end. A solid debut for the talented athlete despite the loss. Look for him to continue to get better as the season goes on.

Griffin Grice LB 2027 6'2" 210
- Possibly the most productive defender on the night for the Jaguars. Grice seemed to be in on play after play and his physical style showed in some impressive hits on some of his stops. He did a great job and really showed good instincts in reading plays and running them down. He looks like a solid college prospect that schools should have interest in.

Khali Harrison S 2028 6'2" 190
- A rising junior safety who shows a lot of potential and promise. Harrison has good size, speed and had good reaction to plays and making reads. He breaks nicely on the ball, runs downhill against the run, and is a physical tackler who seems to like to him. A player to keep an eye on this season as it unfolds. Khali had the look of a future college prospect on Friday night.
