Prep Redzone Iowa kicked off its rankings updates by dropping a new rundown for the Class of 2029, which you can check out HERE. It was the second iteration in ranking this group and the first time there were numbers next to player names. The initial installment was a Watch List.

We provided an overview of the new rankings, which you can read HERE. One of the biggest takeaways was it being so early in the football development process for all of these guys. That said, student-athletes that stand out early in their prep careers often stay on a positive trajectory and high in future ratings.

In conjunction with the '29 update, I wanted to offer more insight into what we see from these individuals. A good way to attack it is by breaking them up by position.

Stupp won me over with his performance at the Back2Ballin 7v7 event this spring in Cedar Falls. It's a projectable frame capable of filling out and adding strength. Height and long arms play to his advantage. Stupp can zip the ball through tight windows and push it down the field. He's comfortable delivering the ball from various arm angles and does well in leading receivers with sharp ball placement. Stupp sees the field well and works through his progressions quickly. He makes smart decisions and has a steady calmness about him playing the position. I'm interested to see what development looks like this season at Gilbert. There's a nice ceiling here and a chance to take a big step forward in working to reach it.

Storck checks is as the No. 12 player overall and the second-ranked quarterback in the new Prep Redzone Iowa Class of 2029 rankings. The ADM sophomore flashed the upside to move up. The top quarterbacks in this cycle are pretty interchangeable with way more data and development on the way. Like the other signal callers, Storck boasts a rock solid foundation on which to build. In large part, it stems from the physical ability and natural talent being there for molding. Storck can spin the ball. He makes all of the throws with power and precision. A good athlete, Storck also can ding defenses with his legs, either by keeping plays alive off schedule or picking up yards on his own.

Iowa's 2029 Class has a chance to be really strong at the quarterback position. Harden is a key reason for the optimism. Popping up as the No. 3 signal caller and fourteenth-ranked player overall in the latest Prep Redzone rankings, the Des Moines Christian sophomore could end up being the best of the bunch. I certainly would expect an impactful 2026 campaign and a big step forward in development. Harden is a guy comfortable picking apart defenses from the pocket, hitting them with throws on the run or eating up yardage on the ground. He's a good athlete and makes smart decisions with his throws.

Wegher comes from good stock. The son of former NFL running back Brandon Wegher, Brody brings a different skill set to the table than did his dad. The young Wegher does share his father's unusual quick-twitch athleticism. He's a natural on the track, shines on the baseball diamond and can hoop. It's worth developing that type of ability at quarterback for as long as possible. Wegher has a chance to be special if it all comes together there. That said, it's the type of speed, quickness and explosion that would work really well at other positions. Maybe the greatest growth happens in other sport, too. Stay tuned. However it turns out will be exciting.

The son of future NFL hall of famer, Marshal Yanda, Graham does not resemble his offensive lineman father. He's a leaner athlete with a chance to develop in multiple sports. He's shown potential in wrestling and basketball but his greatest upside likely is on the gridiron. We don't have a lot of video on which to go by when evaluating Yanda. There's speed and a chance to develop at other positions should the process stall at quarterback. Expect a step forward in production in 2026 with a year of high school football under his belt.
