QB Standouts Around Kentucky Through Week 2

Impressively, he's completed 74.2% (49-66) of his passes so far and has added a rushing touchdown to his credit as well. Carothers threw for 395 yards and 3 scores against a strong Boyle County team in Week 1. Week 2 ended in a defeat to DuPont Manual, but Page rattled off three touchdowns -- including one on the ground. He finished the day with eight carries for 57 yards. He's coming off a freshman season where he threw for 1,562 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions on a 55.9% (85-152) completion percentage. Against Paducah Tilghman to open the season, he completed 77% (17/22) of his passes for 316 yards and four total touchdowns. He followed that up with another four-touchdown performance in an overtime win vs. Logan County. In Week 1 against Middlesboro, Hollon threw for 178 yards and added 82 more on the ground. He scored two touchdowns through the air and added two more on the ground. He found the end zone just as easily in Week 2, throwing for five touchdown passes for 220 yards and adding another rushing the football. He's proven to be a good decision-maker. He's completed all but 10 of his 45 passing attempts so far this season for a 77.8% completion percentage. He's thrown for 520 yards and eight touchdowns, and has one interception to his stat line through two games. In the opener, he scored seven total touchdowns with no turnovers. Calloway County was defeated 59-26 by Murray in Week 2, however, but Briedwell still went 18-for-22 passing for two touchdowns. Meredith was forced to use more of his dual-threat abilities in Week 1 against LCA, as he accounted for 95 total rushing yards (not counting sacks) and a touchdown while also throwing for 111 yards. He still earned player of the game honors despite the loss. He's a high-effort player with a strong arm and agile feet.
