PRZNY Team Previews: Bishop-Timon St. Jude Tigers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Last Season (2-7)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Despite impressive wins against Bill Crothers (Canada) and a dominating performance on the road vs Eastridge (Rochester), Bishop-Timon hit a lot of bumps in 2025; starting with their starting QB, Dominic Anzalone going down week 1 for the second straight season. The Tigers fought as hard as they could but 3 divisional losses in their final four games ended their season earlier than they wanted. He is a versatile Safety as he can make plays on the ball in the air or he can fly down in the box and make solid tackles. I first saw him play in 2024 as the JV QB. He played both sides of the ball for that team and displayed a lot of athleticism as a QB and DB. He is tough in the trenches and moves pretty well. He possesses solid pulling technique and has good hand placement. Being a private school, they will have to find their own opponents and they have two more regular season games to fill. With that being said, their most important games are set in stone; The Tigers have three divisional games to focus on for playoff seeding. Early on, they will be on the road to take on St. Francis (9/19) then will play host to St. Joe's on 10/2 before ending the season on 10/30 at home vs Canisius.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In years past, the Monsignor Martin League was broken up into two divisions with Timon playing in the smaller section. But for the last couple years, the Tigers have competed with the likes of St. Francis, Canisius and St. Joe's; with little success. From the team standpoint, it is a safe bet that Timon will enter the playoffs as the #4 seed once again but they do posses a lot of unheralded talent to make a fight at the finish.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
