This is a class that will go down in the history books as one of the best in state history. We've updated our 2027 rankings to include the Top 200 prospects in the state. We have a ton of individual breakdowns dropping every day to spotlight some of those special prospects. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at the wide receiver and tight end positions. The 2026 season is about to kick off and we believe that all six of these players could have huge senior seasons with high upsides moving forward.. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2027 individual breakdowns!

Over the last 10 years, Carl Albert has established itself as one of the premier programs in Oklahoma 5A football, winning 9 state championships while currently riding a four-year consecutive championship run. [player_tooltip player_id='1694441' first='Jacson' last='Webster'] has played a role in that success, putting together an impressive season with 56 receptions for 887 yards and 11 touchdowns while totaling 1,291 all-purpose yards his junior year. Webster is an explosive athlete who has a natural ability to create separation and get open. One of the things I really like about his game is how he uses his body when working against defenders. Rather than relying on his hands, he does a great job leaning into the defender to create space and put himself in position to make the catch. He also shows the ability to defeat man press coverage and isn't afraid to go up and attack the football in the air. Webster displays strong hand-eye coordination and has made several impressive catches on film. His combination of explosiveness, route-running ability, physicality, and ball skills makes him another weapon for a Carl Albert program that knows what it takes to compete for championships.

Standing at 6'3" and 195 pounds, [player_tooltip player_id='1637567' first='Isaac' last='Woodard'] has the frame and athleticism to create matchup problems for opposing defenses. He finished the season with 601 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns while showing the ability to make plays at every level of the field. He does a good job defeating man press coverage and understands spacing concepts, allowing him to find holes in the defense and create throwing windows for his quarterback. He has the ability to stretch the field vertically while also being effective on short and intermediate routes. His route running stands out, and he does a good job tracking the football all the way into his hands. What I really like is his versatility. He can line up all over the field, move effectively in space, and has the quickness to make the first defender miss after the catch. His combination of size, route-running ability, reliable hands, and athleticism makes him a well-rounded receiver who can create plays in a variety of ways.

Jenks Trojans finished last season 10-2 overall and 6-1 in conference play, advancing to the second round of the playoffs before falling to Owasso in a tight ball game. One of the young athletes who caught my attention during that run was sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='692003' first='Jaylon' last='Cato']. Cato first caught my eye during our Friday Film Review, and after watching his sophomore film, I was excited to see what he could do with an increased role. There are so many different ways to get Cato involved because of the versatility he brings to the offense. I really like how explosive he is with the football in his hands and his ability to create plays in space. What also stands out is his willingness to do the dirty work. Cato will get downfield and block for his teammates, showing that his game is about more than just catching passes. Cato is a fun player to watch at wide receiver, and as his role continues to grow during his junior season, I believe he has an opportunity to put together a big year for the Trojans. His explosiveness, versatility, and willingness to contribute in all aspects of the position make him a player I'm excited to continue watching.

Edmond Memorial tight end [player_tooltip player_id='1748510' first='Jacob' last='Queen'] is a versatile athlete who finds ways to make plays all over the field. Queen has a good frame and moves well in space, giving the Bulldogs the flexibility to utilize him in a variety of alignments and create matchup problems for opposing defenses. Queen has the ability to split out as the single receiver, line up in a bunch formation, or play as a traditional tight end as the end man on the line of scrimmage. He does an excellent job attacking the football in the air and consistently competes for every ball thrown his way. His ability to go up and make catches makes him a valuable target in the passing game. What I really like about Queen is that he isn't just a pass catcher. He is willing to mix it up in the blocking game, comes off the ball with purpose, and will get out in space to block on the perimeter. His versatility, physicality, and ability to contribute both as a blocker and receiver make him a valuable weapon for Edmond Memorial.

Collinsville Cardinals once again have an athlete ready to step into a bigger role at wide receiver this season. With the graduation of their leading receiver over the past two seasons, Ben Daniels, the Cardinals will turn to Max, a player who brings experience at the position after playing wide receiver. Max brings valuable leadership and experience back into the mix, while Collinsville also returns junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1884281' first='Carter' last='Vaughan'] to lead the offense. Max is a versatile weapon who gives the Cardinals multiple ways to get the football into his hands. He can line up at different positions and be utilized in a variety of ways, allowing the coaching staff to create matchups and get him into open space. His experience and understanding of the offense should make him an important piece of the Cardinals' passing game. Max also contributes on the defensive side of the ball at safety, where he seems to be around the football making plays and helping coordinate the defense into position. His ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball, combined with his leadership and experience, makes him a player to watch. We believe Max is poised for a breakout season at wide receiver and could become a major playmaker for the Cardinals this fall.

Class of 2027 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='2072734' first='Paxton' last='Salazar'] played an important role in a Sand Springs offense that helped lead the Sandites to an 11-2 record and a state championship. Salazar finished his junior season with 28 receptions for 371 yards and 3 touchdowns and currently holds an offer from Hendrix College in Arkansas. On film, Salazar shows the ability to track the football well and has developed into a reliable possession receiver. He does a good job finding open holes in the defense and sitting in the right windows for his quarterback to deliver the football. Salazar consistently uses his hands to secure the catch and shows good concentration when the ball comes his way. What I like most about Salazar is his understanding of passing concepts within the Sandites' offensive scheme. He is always finding work, knows how to get himself open, and does a good job working with his quarterback. Coming off a state championship season, Salazar brings experience and dependable hands to the Sand Springs receiving corps and is a player to keep an eye on heading into his senior season.
