We take a closer look inside the rankings HERE and hit you with stock-risers HERE.

The group showed early signs of being strong at the top and talented throughout. It's continued with tremendous growth, many of these student-athlete finding college homes to continue competing in the sport.

One of the best parts about tracking a recruiting cycle is finding out where student-athletes fit on the next level, which many of them have done. The process is different for everyone, however. Sometimes everything clicks into place on a smooth timeline. For others, it takes more time to find the right home.

Here are talented players kicking off their senior seasons Friday night and competing to impress college scouts. Chances are good they will open plenty of eyes with their performances because the next-level talent is apparent.

Top Uncommitted Prospects in PRZIA '27 Update

College programs are always looking for prospects capable of disrupting the proceedings from the middle of the defensive line. That makes it somewhat puzzling that Adol remains available heading into his final prep campaign. He also is a kid that could end up developing into a difference-maker on the offensive line with his strength and agility. It really plays well at D-Tackle, though, where there's explosion and a high-motor. He collected 17 solo tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks last season. Adol understands the importance of absorbing blocks and keeping the backers clean. His hands are powerful and base is rock solid. There's room to fill out physically and grow from a technical standpoint, giving him a significant ceiling.

Hodge Jr. reports scholarship offers from Northern Iowa, South Dakota, Lindenwood, Missouri State, Austin Peay and Tennessee-Martin. He enjoyed visiting the Panthers with his family in June. That unit includes Abdul Hodge Sr., the tight ends coach at his alma mater, the University of Iowa. All that is to say, that while Hodge Jr. has an attractive list of opportunities, he hasn't felt compelled to commit. And that's OK. He should be receiving sound guidance from folks like his father, who are experienced in the process. It's why the Iowa City West cornerback remains available for colleges entering his senior year. The long-limbed defensive back could definitely increase his stock and attract larger schools. He's fluid in coverage and has a projectable frame capable of adding good weight and strength to aid in run support.

Colleges have been slow to advance on White, but the large offensive lineman is the kind of prospect that could take off as a senior. He's big and physical already with plenty of projection remaining. White is a really sound option for programs on the next level looking to mold a recruit and help him reach his recognizable potential. Southeast Polk has a strong history of development, so White can be expected to be better this year than he was a season ago, when he earned first-team all-state recognition. He's built for the interior of the O-Line. Leg drive and power in the upper body help him easily displace bodies in front of him. White is agile and moves well, which helps him reach blocks in space. Drake offered this summer. That would be a great spot for him. I also think he'll turn more heads in 2026.

Keely remained one of the top uncommitted prospects in Iowa's 2027 Class when the Prep Redzone rankings update dropped this week. It's not from a lack of potential. He oozes the type of athleticism as a 6-foot-9 high jumper that you'd think would attract more programs on the next level. Keely also finished second in the 200 meters (22.1 seconds) and sixth in the 100 (11.09) at the state track meet in May. The skill set would work at receiver or defensive back in college. There's plenty of room to fill out his projectable frame and time to develop fundamentally at numerous spots. Somebody is going to get a steal in recruiting if they take a chance on this kid.

Cracking the lineup at Dowling Catholic is as difficult as any place in the state and harder than most. La Cava has waited until his senior season to take over as the Maroons' starting quarterback. He's at the controls for the defending Class 5A champions. While that comes with pressure, he will be surrounded by talent among the best inside of the borders. La Cava has trained hard for his time and is ready to roll. It's a big arm in a large frame that still has room to grow. He'll make all of the throws and challenges the defense on every level. While he's best in the pocket, La Cava can move, keeping plays alive off of schedule or picking up yards with his legs when the field opens up. He's high on the list of breakout candidates for 2026. Expect colleges to start jumping in early in the campaign.
