One of the highest ranked 2027 prospects in the state of Iowa that was in attendance at the USF Prospect Camp under the lights at Bob Young Field on Friday night was LeMars offensive linemen Josh Adol Josh Adol 6'4" | 265 lbs | DL/OL LeMars | 2027 State IA . Josh was another one amongst Iowa prospects in attendance that I felt showed off one of the quicker development curves from watching his reps from start to finish at camp, which tells me that the college programs that have already offered surely see the upside. Surely projects as a DT at the next-level as watching the intensity he has with his hands and the authority he got off with during the reps I watched show off a DT that is the grinder-type you want in your DL room on Saturdays.

An athletic and strong defensive tackle, Josh Adol Josh Adol 6'4" | 265 lbs | DL/OL LeMars | 2027 State IA fits the one-tech DT mold perfectly. A hole-plugging run-stopper that can fill a gap and stop a tailback in his tracks, Adol’s strength is in defending the run. He can take on a blocker, hold his ground, shed the block and make a tackle at or near the line of scrimmage, making him potentially an excellent fit on the defensive front at the next level.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds, Adol is the physical archetype for a one-tech defensive tackle. He’ll need to gain more weight at the next level, but his height would allow him to swat down passes at the line and reach after the quarterback in the pass-rush. If he opted to slim down, too, he could play defensive end at that height.
Adding consistent playmaking would be big for Adol, who posted 23 tackles and 3.5 sacks last season for Le Mars.

Adol operated in the middle of the Bulldog defensive front in 2024 and does not look like a sophomore when watching his highlight video. The young fella chews up blocks and spits them out. Adol is quick laterally with straight-line burst. In addition to the agility and athleticism, there’s power and strength in his game. While there’s plenty of present-day production when it comes to Adol, there’s excitement for what’s to come. His frame is such that it can add mass without the loss of the unique traits that make him successful now. As long as he continues working at his craft and developing physically, Adol has a good chance to reach his sizable ceiling.

Here’s another rising defensive tackle with high upside. Le Mars’ Josh Adol Josh Adol 6'4" | 265 lbs | DL/OL LeMars | 2027 State IA showed out on tape with his ability to stuff the run game and provide an interior pass rush. Adol has a taller frame at 6’4″, 265 pounds, with great length and room to continue packing mass onto his build. Josh showed his ability to stack up blockers at the line of scrimmage before using his upper body strength to rip his way through and spill into the backfield. He does a good job tracking the ball with his eyes and has the athleticism to chase down QBs outside the pocket. Expect Josh to build on his 11.5 tackles and 2 TFLs in year 3!
