Payne delivered a monster performance in Week 0, showcasing the explosive speed that makes him a top 5 running back in this 2027 class . Payne consistently found opportunities in the open field and turned multiple carries into explosive touchdown runs. His biggest play came on a 90 plus yard rushing touchdown, where he hit the hole, quickly reached the second level and turned on the jets to separate from the defense. His ability to accelerate through open space gives him legitimate big play potential and makes him a dangerous weapon for Monarch. Payne was a major catalyst in the team's big win and has immediately put himself on scouts radar. If he maintains this level of production, he could become one of the top backs for scouts to track.     Lockwood was a two-way contributor who consistently found ways to impact the game on both sides of the football. While it was not necessarily the production outing he was looking for, Lockwood showed his upside when the ball came his way. He hauled in a short receiving touchdown, creating enough separation for his quarterback to make the throw while displaying strong hands to secure a contested catch. His ability to make plays in traffic is an encouraging trait and gives him another dimension as an offensive weapon. Lockwood's versatility also allows him to contribute defensively, making him a valuable piece for Monarch. With more opportunities throughout the season, his combination of athleticism and two-way ability could lead to increased production and attention.     Rizzello looked like a quarterback on a mission in Week 0 and immediately established himself as a name to watch this season. He showed good rhythm as a passer, getting the football out efficiently and allowing his playmakers to create after the catch. Rizzello played with confidence, working within the offense while also showing the athleticism to make plays with his legs. He kept the ball on an option run and turned the play into a 20 plus yard touchdown, highlighting his ability to create explosive plays outside of the passing game. His combination of efficiency, decision making and mobility gives him an intriguing skill set at quarterback. If Rizzello continues producing at this level, he could become a name that starts appearing on recruiting boards.     Haas was a defensive standout who consistently found ways to make his presence felt around the line of scrimmage. He showed the ability to generate pressure on the quarterback while also making plays in the open field. Haas did a good job shedding blocks and working through traffic to get himself into position, helping him become one of the forces responsible for slowing down the run game. His ability to play through blocks and attack the football gives him the potential to become an increasingly productive defender as the season progresses. Haas has the physical tools to make an impact in multiple areas and should continue to be a player worth knowing on this defense. With more opportunities, his production could continue trending upward.     Ingersoll showed why he entered the season as one of the top ranked quarterbacks with his ability to create plays when the pocket breaks down. He displayed impressive mobility, using his legs to extend drives and keep the offense moving. Ingersoll was elusive in the pocket and consistently kept his eyes downfield while escaping pressure, allowing him to find receivers on the move. His ability to create outside the pocket adds another layer to his game and makes him difficult for defenses to contain. While Pomona ultimately took the loss, Ingersoll showed enough individual ability to show why he is committed to Wyoming. He will be a driving force for Pomona as the team looks to bounce back next week.     Cabral-Mendoza was a major factor for Pomona early in the game, showing the ability to create separation and make difficult catches at receiver. He helped give Pomona an early lead with a contested touchdown grab, displaying strong hands and concentration in the end zone. The play came while his quarterback was escaping pressure, requiring Cabral-Mendoza to get open and finish the opportunity in traffic. His ability to create space and make plays in difficult situations gives him an intriguing skill set as a receiver. Cabral-Mendoza eventually left the game in the fourth quarter, but he had already made his impact felt before then. His Week 0 performance showed why he should remain a name to watch as the season continues.     Berger showed the physical running style that could make him a valuable weapon near the goal line and in short yardage situations. He was able to produce powerful runs, consistently running through defenders and picking up chunk yardage for the offense. Berger combines physicality with good vision, allowing him to identify running lanes and continue moving the chains. His ability to absorb contact and finish runs makes him a difficult back to bring down once he gets downhill. As the season progresses, his effectiveness near the goal line could become an important part of his team's offensive identity. Berger is a running back on the rise who deserves to remain on the radar, especially if he continues producing consistently against quality competition.
