Tennessee High School Football is back and better than ever as there was a number of action-packed week one matchups. I stopped by Linden for week one to watch Greenfield face off against Perry County. After an extremely close battle in the first half, the Yellow Jackets ran away with the game in the second half. Following all of the action, here's my full game recap as well as my top performers.

In the first place spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1065915' first='Westin' last='Porter'], a running back at Greenfield High School. Porter was unstoppable for the Yellow Jackets on the ground, blasting into the house for a multitude of touchdowns on the night. Porter's ability to be shifty, break tackles, and juke out the defense made a huge difference as he carried Greenfield offensively. Another aspect of Porter that I really like is his ability to absorb contact and stay on his feet in crucial moments.

I was additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='2136001' first='Casey' last='Garner'], an edge/defensive lineman at Perry County High School. Garner is definitely a name to know as his size, speed, and physicality made an enormous difference at the line of scrimmage. On top of his excellent attacking ability and violent stopping power, I liked how Garner could read the offense like a book. This under the radar prospect out of the Linden area should not be slept on as he has a very high ceiling.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='2341506' first='Jerrick' last='Mcmullen'], an athlete at Greenfield High School. Mcmullen was another piece of the Yellow Jackets' offense that made a difference all night long. What stands out most about Mcmullen's playstyle was his electric speed off the snap as well as his ability to get wide open in the backfield for the touchdown catch. I also really liked how Mcmullen ran the ball in the second half, proving his ability to punch past defenders.

Another prospect that caught my eye was [player_tooltip player_id='932889' first='Jerry' last='Foley'], an athlete at Greenfield High School. Foley initially caught my attention in the first quarter when he hauled in a very impressive touchdown pass, which was called back due to a flag. Later on in the contest, Foley made his presence known defensively, picking off the offense and running it all the way to the house for the score.

I also really liked what I saw from [player_tooltip player_id='2341530' first='Dereon' last='Morin'], an athlete at Perry County High School. Morin is a natural athlete that can make explosive plays at several different positions. In addition to running the ball with ease, I really liked Morin's ability to excel at the linebacker and wide receiver positions. On top of making a number of impressive stops on the defensive end, Morin proved his ability to get wide open for the touchdown pass. This sophomore is another under the radar player that deserves more attention.

Another playmaker to showcase his skillset was [player_tooltip player_id='2341542' first='Weston' last='Martin'], an athlete at Perry County High School. Martin is extremely efficient on both sides of the ball as he proved he can absorb contact and run over defenders on the offensive end. Defensively, I really like Martin at the linebacker position as he has a natural talent for reading the offense like a book and quickly stopping the run play. This senior out of the Linden area is definitely a name to know as the season progresses.

Another prospect to make his presence known was [player_tooltip player_id='2247238' first='Easton' last='Hensley'], an athlete at Perry County High School. Hensley is another guy I really like on both sides of the ball as he made a number of great plays throughout four quarters. While it was called back due to a holding penalty, Hensley managed to run a kick all the way to the house, showcasing excellent footwork and movement. Hensley also hauled in a very impressive two-point conversion to tie things up before the half. This is absolutely a prospect to know about as he continues to develop.

Making a huge difference under center was [player_tooltip player_id='2341554' first='Cooper' last='Breeding'], a quarterback at Perry County High School. Breeding was electric at the helm of the Vikings' offense, utilizing his strong arm, pin-point accurate passing, and his ability to run the ball. I especially liked Breeding's ability to escape the defense on his feet as he was not scared of contact, and did a great job fighting for those extra steps. This sophomore signal caller is worth keeping an eye on as he continues to develop and improve his craft.

Also worth mentioning is [player_tooltip player_id='1086362' first='Javon' last='McFadden'], an athlete at Perry County High School. McFadden was excellent in the first half of the contest. McFadden hauled in an impressive touchdown pass, which was called back due to a flag. McFadden also stood out defensively with his ability to read the quarterback like a book, hauling in a huge interception. This talented junior playmaker is worth keeping an eye on this year for the Vikings.
