Calling the Hogs: Meet the 2029 ND OL Newcomers

We start off our coverage of the newly released North Dakota 2029 rankings by starting up front as we "call the hogs" that are newcomers to our newly released class. From our potential call ups from the watchlist, an intriguing OL class to watch out of Fargo North, and more!   Offensive Linemen    Mason might be sitting on our watch list right now, but the 6'2 275 pounder from South Border shows off one of the more intriguing size profiles in the 9-man ranks to develop. He plays in muliple positions on the offensive line's interior and in my eyes the projection lines up well at the guard position. It's been known that an offensive linemen blend well with a wrestling background, as Mason has recent success on the mat that I feel could lead to getting to on our rankings board here soon in the 2029 North Dakota group.     Another 2029 coming out from the 11AAA 2025 state champions that has the upside to grow from off the watch list onto the rankings soon, is Fargo Davies [player_tooltip player_id='2267032' first='Brody' last='Anderson']. He got some growth from a tape perspective with IDing himself on his tape that's out there, but there's no doubt from what I could see that Brody has a quick first step for his age and doesn't take long getting into the second level with balanced hands and leverage that favors the Davies rushing attack. One to surely watch the growth here over the coming years.     Riley cracked our 2029 rankings as a newcomer to this class out of Fargo North. The 5'9 235 pounder for the Spartans shows off the barrelling fluidity that I wanted to see especially with his second step and beyond as one that I was impressed with his pad-level despite the limited take that is out there thus far. Riley also showed steady in 1v1 battles at the point of attack as one that has the physical hands you wanted to see pop out despite not having the ideal size profile at the moment that still has plenty of room to grow over the coming years to keep watching for.     A 2029 newcomer that got added to my radar from the info I gathered from the NDSU Indy Camp was West Fargo's [player_tooltip player_id='2262851' first='Michael' last='Swedberg']. The 5'11 230 pounder ran a promising 4.63 in the pro agility at his size which tells me his lateral movement shows off the athleticism from an upside perspective to progress in pull-blocking scenarios. Michael sits just outside our top 10 as far as offensive linemen and surely has the growth to progress into the top 10 possibly by next-update.     Heading into the top 10 grouping of hog mollies, we take a look at our OL9 in the 2029 class which is [player_tooltip player_id='1988345' first='Nox' last='Wollenzien'] of TGU. The 6'1 250 pounder shows off pad-level that has upside to grow with his hands to over the coming years. He's got the twitch you want to see on tape at the center position with his first step which wastes no time getting lateral the point of attack. Even as just an incoming sophomore, there's plenty to like out of Nox already paving way for the TGU run game. He's one that could move a few spots upwards by next update.     Reaching deeper into our new OL4 in the 2029 North Dakota rankings we meet Divide County's [player_tooltip player_id='2326634' first='Bentley' last='Kroshus']. The 6'0 270 pounder has the violent hands that are hard to miss on any tape you can find from him at the center position. The way he finishes his blocks also catches the eye quickly as Bentley shows off the consistent pad-level that graves into his blocker with well-rounded strength at the point of attack. He's one that I would love to see him put together a full highlight tape showing off all the physicality he has at his disposal, and hes'a definite climber I can see in this 2029 North Dakota class.   <a href="https://x.com/BentleyKro95" data-type="link" data-id="https://x.com/BentleyKro95">TWITTER</a>     Kuol was one that came onto my 2029 North Dakota radar pretty late in the rankings process as a OL prospect that I had been looking for with XL measurables that has been a tough find thus far in the development of this 2029 class. The 6'4 270 pounder out of Fargo North, generates power in his lower body quickly for size despite having pretty limited tape out of at the moment but you can surely see the upside that this young man to grow out of this class in the early going. He has some development to grow more depth with his bend but but despite that at the moment, his pad-level lines up pretty balanced. He's one that has one of the biggest upside out of this OL group thus far in my eyes.     Ranked back to back in our 2029 North Dakota we have two Fargo North Spartans as newcomer [player_tooltip player_id='2267041' first='Lennon' last='Grovum'] claims our OL2 spot. The 6'2 270 pounder is one that off the first look of the light tape he has shows off the early signs of a road-grader that has a ton of upside left to prove over these next handful of years at Fargo North. He quickly shows off the athletic bend off the eye test that I wanted to see and has really well-engaged hands for his age that are not only active but from a technique perspective are well-versed at the point of attack. He's got upside that shold grow with making his footwork more fluid with his range he offers at the moment. The Spartans surely have a offensive line that is worth tracking over these next couple of years.     Last but not least, we move to our new OL1 in the 2029 class which I have to give a shoutout to the 2025 11AA state champion Devils Lake Firebirds, as they have our DL1 in [player_tooltip player_id='1738188' first='Aiden' last='Stiven'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2243979' first='Karter' last='Winnegge'] as the OL1 in this class. I just saw Karter at the Valley City LOS Camp a few weeks back and that was where he checked my boxes as my top-tier offensive linemen in the state at the moment. He showed off great hand placement for his age and was more rangy than I was expecting out in space as the live eval is what I was looking for along with the fluidity he showed with his footwork.
