2028 Watchlist to Ranked: Offense

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Deep dive into the 2028 offensive prospects that moved up from the watchlist and into the rankings in the most recent update.</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Bonhomme moves into the rankings just outside of the top 100 overall. Long frame at 6'2” 195 lbs. with the size to create matchup issues on the perimeter and downfield. Runs crisp routes with sudden breaks at the top, showing the ability to sell defenders before creating separation. Flashes good acceleration off the ball and throughout his routes to threaten defenders early. Large catch radius with strong hands when playing the ball outside his frame. Saw his recruitment kick off in a big way this spring with four D1 offers coming in from Arizona, Hawaii, NAU, and Nevada. He's a high upside WR and breakout candidate this upcoming season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">DeLeon flashed his potential during the 2025 season and is climbing into the PRZ rankings entering his junior year. 5'9” 165 lbs. he's an advanced route runner out of the slot with a wide route tree, capable of separating to all areas of the field. Demonstrates good feel and awareness for spacing, consistently finding soft spots in coverage and showing good timing with the QB. Sets up his routes with solid tempo changes, selling routes and manipulating leverage to create separation without relying purely on speed. Extremely reliable target on any down or distance that is consistent with his hands being able to adjust to ball flight and play off target throws with ease. Slides into the #128 spot overall.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Gooden is a quick hitting ball carrier with a strong compact frame at 5'10” 190 lbs. He presses the LOS and gets downhill quickly threatening the defense and forcing them to be gap sound early in the play. Natural instincts allow him to anticipate running lanes and attack them full speed to catch defenders off on pursuit angles. Outstanding elusiveness, he make defenders miss with sudden and explosive lateral cuts while maintaining his speed. Effective in the passing game as well gives him added value as a versatile weapon out of the backfield. This offseason saw him earn his first two D1 offers from Colorado State and UNLV. Impacts the game in a variety of ways as a receiver, ball carrier, and kick returner. Speed and burst create mismatches both down the field and after the catch. Rarely outside his frame, he's very controlled and balanced with his body movement to run great routes and evade defenders. Outstanding ability to make difficult plays look routine. Picked up his first D1 offer from UNLV at the start of 2026 but is still flying under the recruiting radar given his speed and natural talent (runs a 10.8 100m). He's a name to know going into his junior year already posting three receptions for 85 yards and three touchdowns in week 0 and could pop at anytime.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/flordia24/status/2066421439432183903 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Smith is a versatile athlete with a great 6'2” 190 lb. frame and high caliber track level speed, runs a 10.58 100m. That speed translates well to the field shows he can impact the game as a ball carrier, receiver, or on the defensive side at DB. He's a legit scoring threat every time he touches the ball given his elusiveness and ability to outrun the angle of any defender in pursuit. As a ball carrier, he shows good vision to find the crease and slip through tight spaces and is able to hit top speed within several strides once in the open field. Shows strong hands catching the ball out of the backfield and is able to take short level routes for big gains by following his blocks and making quick cuts working to space. Holds an offer from San Diego State but that speed will result in more recruiting attention as he showcases his ability.</p>
