Wideouts Camp 2026: Oscar’s Standout Players Pt. 2

The 5th annual Wideouts Camp, hosted by New Orleans Saints WR coach Keith Williams, was another big hit, with over 60 QB/WR/TE prospects in attendance. Coach Williams and the crew put together a camp where players went through positional drills and air routes, allowing QBs and pass catchers to showcase their full skill sets.   Below are some of the players who stood out at Saturday's camp:   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    Gretna East senior [player_tooltip player_id='1552268' first='Carver' last='Fritchen'] continues to tear up the camp circuit with another standout performance at the wideouts camp. Carver projects well as an X receiver who has the size (6'2" 195 lbs) to fight off pressing DBs and can outphysical them at the catch point. He's very strong throughout the catch process, starting with reliable hands and the toughness to reel in catches through contact. He looked solid running routes on air, with clean footwork and precise spacing at the breakoff point. Carver is explosive coming off the ball, displays good stop-start ability, and can sink his hips during running drills. Rising prospect who could really bolster a receiver room at the next level.     Lincoln Northeast senior [player_tooltip player_id='1219130' first='Liam' last='Gallagher'] is a player who immediately stands out for his size and then reels you in with his pass-catching ability. Standing at 6'6" and a bulked-up 210-pound frame, Liam is a matchup nightmare who is most comfortable at TE but also has the athleticism to fit the "flex TE" role where you can line him up as a receiver. He has a very QB-friendly catch radius with long arms that allow him to attack the ball and make catches outside of his frame. Liam adjusts well to the ball and is always looking to make a clean "hands" catch. Although we didn't get to see Liam running routes, he did show off his ability to change direction sharply, good bend when sinking his hips, and burst coming off the ball during position drills. Here's a prospect who is just scratching the surface of his potential!     Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1338209' first='Zaylen' last='Rachow'] is a player with the potential to break out within the budding Wildcats offense. Zaylen has been high on our radar since entering the HS ranks and continues to show why despite limited touches. One thing that really stood out about Zaylen from camp is that he attacked every rep/route with 100% effort and was quick to improve on things needing work. Zaylen does an excellent job getting a clean release coming off the ball and can burst downfield to quickly attack the DB's leverage. He moved well through drills with a good change of direction and nice explosiveness coming out of his breaks. Vice-like hands that are very reliable through the catch process.     Gross Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='2248974' first='Salvatore' last='Anzalone'] is a new name on my radar after standing out at the Wideouts camp. Anzalone impressed with the level of polish he showed, given that he is going into his sophomore season. He is very smooth running routes, with a great instinct for looking and adjusting to the ball. He has several great catches that he had to extend for and did a great job securing them while surviving ground contact.
