Under The Radar Seniors Ready For Big Seasons

There are still a ton of great senior prospects flying under the radar in Nebraska. Here are five sleeper prospects who could help bolster your incoming recruiting class!   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    Creighton Prep returns a nasty defensive line with a ton of production from last season, including senior [player_tooltip player_id='1085159' first='Roberto' last='Macias-Sidzyik']. As a junior, Roberto finished his campaign with 36 tackles, six TFLs, three sacks, and a forced fumble. Roberto impressed with the mean streak he brings to the field, using a quick get-off and violent hands to overwhelm opponents at the point of attack. Macias-Sidzyik uses good footwork and a balanced base to keep his leverage and drive opponents off the ball. Solid bend and lateral quickness. Roberto especially stands out as an interior run defender who can not just blow up his gap, but even eat up extra space/blockers to open up opportunities for his teammates to swoop in. He's no slouch either, as he showed he can quickly get to the ball carrier to make a delivery on some splash plays behind the LOS. On top of being a great run defender, Macias-Sidzyik showed he can crumble pockets from the interior and effectively get to the QB.      Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1086168' first='Maxton' last='Holling'] joins the championship-hopeful GICC Crusaders, where he can easily be a plug-and-play impact player given his versatile skill set. With the Islanders, Holling led the team in rushing with 77 carries for 367 yards, 15 receptions, 106 receiving yards, five rushing touchdowns, 35 tackles, three TFLs, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception. Offensively, Maxton projects best as a running back but is really the type of player you can find all kinds of ways to give the ball to in an offense. He sees the field extremely well, has explosive burst when hitting his gaps, and can shake defenders in the open field. At 5'10" and 185 lbs, Maxton has a sturdy frame that can also absorb contact from defenders and the balance/power to stay upright. Maxton's intense motor carries over to the defensive side of the ball, where he shows great pursuit and closing speed to arrive in a flash. He can drive downhill while exploding through his gaps, or he can easily flip his hips to drop into coverage when he keys in on the pass. Sure tackler at the point of contact. Keep an eye out for this guy!      The York Dukes are a perennial playoff team that should return to the postseason behind a strong senior class, including RB [player_tooltip player_id='1845149' first='Colt' last='Eimermann']. With the Dukes rolling out a new QB this fall, expect Colt to see an uptick in production after a strong 557 yards and seven touchdowns on 105 carries as a junior. Colt is a great blend of twitchy athleticism with a gritty, physical mindset that works well when he's toting the rock. Colt's vision serves him well, as he can quickly identify open lanes and has the agility to make sharp cuts in tight quarters. Eimermann displayed great burst to separate from defenses once he's hit the open field. He is also willing to drop the pads and take on a defender head-on, using his strong base and great balance to win a good amount of those battles. Eimermann should play a big role in the passing game after hauling in 15 catches for 104 yards and a touchdown, as well as on defense after a monster 107 tackles and two interceptions. Very productive prospect with next-level upside!      Bellevue West's [player_tooltip player_id='1085134' first='Gage' last='Brown'] should also see an uptick in production this fall as he's set to take on a bigger role. Gage established himself as a threat in the trenches last season and recorded 16 tackles, 4.5 TFLs, a sack, and a fumble recovery. Gage stands out with his versatility along the defensive line, showing he can eat up blocks and disrupt run games on the interior or set the edge and provide a pass rush off the edge. Gage's strength really flashes on tape as he uses his strong base to drive blockers off their spot and his heavy hands to stun opponents with his jab. Brown does a great job maintaining a balanced base and good pad level, which helps him win the leverage battle over his opponent. Great job tracking the ball with the lateral quickness to get to the ball carrier for the stop. Hidden gem prospect who could make some waves this fall!      Pierce's Gavin Lubischer looks to serve as the go-to safety valve target on the Bluejays' offense that will feature a young QB. Lubischer led the team in receiving as a junior with 15 receptions for 252 receiving yards and three touchdowns and will be the returning rushing yards leader this fall after recording 251 carries and two touchdowns on 29 carries. He also recorded 29 tackles, a TFL, an interception, and a fumble recovery on defense. Gavin projects well as a receiver with inside-outside versatility, showing the burst to threaten defenses vertically on the outside, or using his swift change of direction and route running to work defenders in the slot. Strong hands at the catch point make him a reliable target. Lubischer's effectiveness as a runner should provide extra value for any creative college coordinators. His fluidity carries over well to the defensive side, where he showed the footwork and quick hips to stay right in his opponent's hip pocket as they run their route. Good ball skills and instincts when defending the pass allow him to quickly get his hands up for the PBU.
