Western Ohio Studs: 2027s Who Are Planning to Pop

Today we spotlight four prospects in Ohio who deserve an extra look at their film. These four prospects, most of whom don't have much recruiting attention going on, have a chance to develop into solid players with continued strong seasons especially heading into their senior year. Here they are:    [player_tooltip player_id='2241551' first='Max' last='Nordhaus'] is a force in the run game for Lakota. He is a strong run defender who can shed blocks, wrap up at the corner and occupy space. I see him going inside at the college level where he can overwhelm opposing linemen with his size, effectively shed blocks and occupy multiple defenders and allow teammates to clean up the play. Big at 6-foot-4, but lean at 270 pounds. High academic prospect who picked up offers from Wooster, Lake Erie, Wayne State and Findlay.     [player_tooltip player_id='949418' first='Tegan' last='Jallick'] is a very good receiver who displays good hands and solid run-after-the-catch ability. Strong X/Z receiver who can adjust to the ball and catches with his hands. Can make acrobatic catches with defender in his face, and wins one—on-one battles. Jallick picked up an offer from Bluffton; he recorded 78 catches for 920 yards and six touchdowns last year.     Fairfield Class of 2027 offensive tackle [player_tooltip player_id='2241554' first='Austin' last='Schultz'] starts on the right side for Fairfield. Schultz has good use-of-hands, drives defenders off the ball and seals off the corner well in pass pro. While I'd like to see him play with better balance and stay on his feet, has the athleticism to shine at the next level. He is a good puller who can hit a moving target in space and create vertical push. After camping with the Oilers, he earned an offer from Findlay.     What strikes me the most about Lakota East linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='2241555' first='Travion' last='Bailey'] is his explosiveness. The 6-foot-0, 200-pound Class of 2027 linebacker just flies to the football. His motor, range, speed and twitch are outstanding. He is a great pass rusher who can wreck havoc on opposing quarterbacks and he possesses elite closing speed. He finished last year with 96 tackles, 5.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. He earned his first offer from Ohio Wesleyan, but more cannot be ruled out.
