Twelve different guys have verbally committed to Power 4 programs. Quite a few others have pledged to FBS and FCS schools. The Situation: Englund is a well-kept secret when it comes to college attention. He rushed for more than 800 yards (6.9 YPC) and four touchdowns as a Marshalltown junior last season. He's an attractive combination of power and speed. While getting downhill quickly is an common occurrence, Englund also offers wiggle and elusiveness. It's a set of skills that also works at linebacker or safety. Special teams also are an area where early contributions can be expected.   Englund camped at Iowa in June. The Situation: Production wasn't a problem for Jessen in 2025. The junior contributed in all three phases during St. Albert's run to the postseason. He caught 18 balls for 386 yards (21.4 YPC) and seven touchdowns, and rushed for 92 yards (7.7 YPC) and a pair of scores. Jessen registered 41.5 tackles, 32 of which were solo stops. He picked off three passes and added a tackle for loss. Jessen averaged 29.0 yards on seven kick returns, taking one of them back to the house. The Situation: Fairley caught my attention with his play at the Back2Ballin 7v7 tournament during the spring in Cedar Falls. He was slinging it around the UNI-Dome, dropping dimes on receivers and making good decisions. His varsity experience is limited heading into his final prep season, but a strong year with a historically strong Kennedy program should attract more attention from colleges. The arm strength is present as is the athleticism to stress defenses with his legs. Fairley keeps plays alive off schedule and make opponents miss in space.   Despite the lack of exposure to date, colleges are showing interest. He's heard from Princeton, South Dakota State, Drake, Upper Iowa, Moorhead, Northwest Missouri State, Eastern Illinois and others. The Situation: A two-year varsity starter, Falls earned first-team all-district honors as a junior in 2025. He completed 66.5 percent of his throws for 1239 yards, and rolled up 1513 total yards with 21 touchdowns. Falls owned a 146.1 Quarterback Rating. Falls can spin it down the field and through tight windows. There's pocket awareness and the ability to make plays with his legs. A good athlete with agility and speed, Falls could fit at other positions if development stalls behind center.   Moorhead, Dordt, Dubuque and Upper Iowa have been in contact with Falls. A sound senior season should raise his stock further.
