Top Performers: Ironton 7v7 and Linemen Challenge

Several teams in Ohio and Kentucky made the trip over to the historic stadium to square off.  The day was filled with several Division I recruits who shined, as well as many under-the-radar players looking for a big senior year. Good first step quickness, plays with a wide base, flashes a mean streak and drives his feet effecitvley on contact. Good leg drive with good vertical push. Can pull, reach and cover second-level linebackers. Good strike timing/wide base in pass pro. Lane has great ball skills, snagging an interception during the opening game and showing he can high-point the ball effectively. Very instinctive corner who can backpedal and break on the ball. Physical in coverage with good use-of-hands, stays in phase and times the ball well for pass breakups. Decent run support DB who can make open-field tackles. Was also a speedy slot receiver at the 7v7. Class of 2027 cornerback with offers from West Virginia State, Piikeville and Wittenberg. Flashed great ball skills on a couple of interceptions in the team's second game. Has great range, instincts, quick to read and react. Flashes good ball skills. Tape shows great acceleration downfield as a kickoff coverage defender who can deliver heavy hits, where he could contribute early as a college player. Multi-sport athlete: basketball, baseball, track and football. Has good skills in coverage, physical with good timing to break up passes. Had one interception in the games viewed; contests catches well and stays in phase. Really undercuts routes effectively and can break on the ball. Has also played receiver and finishes forward on contact after the catch.
