In the 2026 season, there are some really talented receivers on some really good teams that were big playmakers but this season, the team will look to them as leaders as they step into roles that require leading by example and continue making plays as they have been doing but with even more responsibility. Let's check some of these guys out in North Georgia!

Tylan "Scoot" Simpson is one of the first wide outs that come to mind who had a lot of impact last season but now enters his junior year in a full leadership role on top of having yet another shot at being an impact player. This year, I believe Simpson has his biggest year yet and he will be the leader of the receiving core going into a tough 6A schedule. I look for big things out of "Scoot" this fall.

Havyn Searels is one of the most talented targets in all of the state regardless of class. Searels has an all-around ability to make plays in many different ways, and you can get the ball to him in any big moment and he will make a play. He did that last year, and I can tell you now, he will have a major season this year. He is one of the leaders in the receiving core and it'll be exciting to see what he does this fall.

Gavin Green was one of the states premier playmakers at the wide out position. Green is one of the most dynamic players in Georgia and he took over a lot of games last fall. He will likely do the same this year and will be a leader in the midst of it. Look forward to seeing him help his team immensely.

One of the Peach States top playmakers is Madoxx Davis. Davis has the ability to make major plays and has gained a ton of college attention because of doing that among other great things. He is going to be a leader this fall in the receiving core. I look forward to seeing him showcase an all-around ability that will shine through the state of Georgia!

The state may not know about Kaiden "KD" Watters, but they soon will. Watters made some big-time plays in last season's playoff win against Houston County at home in a memorable rainy game that was a battle between two of the state premier juggernauts. Watters showed up and showed out as he showed he could be one of those guys in the lead role. Well, this season, the 2028 wide out will be one of the other leaders in the receiving core and he will be making a ton of big plays while helping lead his team. Look out for Watters this fall!

In the 2026 season, there are some really talented receivers on some really good teams that were big playmakers but this season, the team will look to them as leaders as they step into roles that require leading by example and continue making plays as they have been doing but with even more responsibility.
