TAAC Six 5A/6A Northeast Guilford

After finishing second in the TAAC Six Conference, Northeast Guilford put together an outstanding 9-3 campaign that ended with a second-round appearance in the 5A East playoffs. While the season ended earlier than they had hoped, the Rams proved they could compete with some of the state's best teams. They return the majority of the production from last year's squad, giving them the experience and continuity needed to make another deep postseason run. His combination of power, quickness, and relentless motor makes him a nightmare for opposing offensive lines.   Escobar has the versatility to line up anywhere along the defensive front, but his future at the next level is likely on the interior, where his strength and ability to penetrate gaps can take over games. The rising junior recorded five sacks last season, consistently creating pressure off the edge with his speed, burst, and relentless pursuit of the football. His ability to disrupt plays made him a key piece of the Rams' defensive success.   While Solongo has proven to be an outstanding edge rusher at the high school level, his athleticism and frame project him as a linebacker at the next level. His pass-rushing ability is already elite, and as he continues to develop the rest of his game, he has the potential to become one of the top defensive prospects in the area. At 6-foot and 300 pounds, Bennett possesses the size, strength, and physicality to dominate in the trenches. Bennett's versatility adds even more value to Northeast Guilford.
