Summer Spotlight: Southwest Ohio Prospects Who Could Break Out

There aren't many camps and not many games to attend right now, but that doesn't mean we at Prep Red Zone are sitting on our hands. On the contrary, we are hard at work. All throughout the summer, we'll be taking a look at some top returning starters and young prospects who will make a big impact as the season rolls around this fall, spotlighting several prospects. Here is our summer scouting spotlight:    Although he is undersized, Class of 2027 Massilla Diaware for Gamble Montessori can run and hit as well as anybody. He can pursue to the flat, deliver heavy hits and is a very instinctive run defender who flows to the ball. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound prospect has a chance to develop into a small school prospect. Keep an eye on him during this season.     [player_tooltip player_id='2257004' first='Landon' last='Skoog'] is a starting wide receiver for Lakota East and a key returning starter looking to make a big impact. Class of 2028 recruit. More of a possession wideout with excellent height, size and arm length. Looks the part, very long-limbed receiver. Flashes good hands over the middle of the field, finishes forward on contact. Isn't very elusive or fast based on sophomore tape. Still developing.     [player_tooltip player_id='2107086' first='Cameron' last='Wells'] is a starting defensive end for Lakota East. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound prospect flashes potential. Wells has a good first step, can disengage and shed in space and wraps up as a run defender. He also flashes good anchor strength at the point of attack. Although he can get knocked back, he can recover, stick his feet in the ground, use his length and shed to make open-field tackles. Keep an eye on his develepment as a Class of 2028 prospect.     [player_tooltip player_id='2200970' first='Jeremiah' last='Rowdy'] is a starting linebacker for Harvey. The Class of 2027 linebacker is a tough tackler in space who takes good pursuit angles and wraps up behind the line of scrimmage. Rangy, he displays good closing speed in the flat and is a good open-field tackler. He also flashes being able to drop and cover the pass. Keep an eye on his development.
