Stuart Cramer Storm 2026 Season Preview

My colleagues have done a great job in previewing schools across North Carolina, and I will start previews with key players on schools within the Charlotte Metro Area. Previewing schools in the Charlotte Area can always be tricky in the new transfer era that we are in now, so if we preview a player who may have switched schools after a preview is completed, please forgive us.   The Stuart Cramer Storm had a breakout season last year under new Head Coach Ashton Simmons, making the 3rd round of the state playoffs and winning 9 games. This has excited and ignited the Storm fanbase, and they are confident that last year was the beginning of a new era. However, in the football hotbed area of Gaston & Cleveland Counties, they are very eager to prove this was not a one-year fluke and have some big chips on their shoulders as a result. The Storm will have some talented players back in the fold this upcoming season, and we'll take a look at some of them in this article.    Camden is a talented player coming into Stuart Cramer from East Gaston High School. Having seen Camden up close in a camp setting, I think his talents will translate well in a more balanced offense the Storm runs than the run-heavy Warriors. Camden is very strong in his fundamentals and technique for a young prospect, and he's got a strong and accurate arm. The big question is just to see how fast those traits translate into a new offense, and on a team with some big expectations. His intangibles are strong by all accounts, so I think he's going to be more than fine in this new role.     Qualteau is probably one of the best athletes in Gaston County overall, much less on the Stuart Cramer roster. I really like him as a tight end prospect, but Qualteau has shown some impressive things on the defensive line, especially rushing the passer, so his future could end up on either side of the ball. As a tight end, he can flex out and win 1-on-1 matchups against smaller corners in man coverage with ease. He's also a good in-line blocker and brings some good physicality to his game on both sides of the ball. For Stuart Cramer to make a deeper run in the playoffs, Qualteau will definitely have to be an impact player on both sides of the ball. I know he's got the talent and focus to do so.     Amari brings some strength and movement on both sides of the line of scrimmage for the Storm. Stuart Cramer has a couple of good-looking offensive linemen, but Amari is strong on both sides of the ball. We have him ranked as a defensive lineman, and he can get some penetration in the gaps from his defensive tackle position and make plays in the backfield against ball carriers on a regular and disruptive basis. As an offensive lineman, he can get out and pull in space and is physical on contact in the running game. I think he's a college prospect and should have some schools interested in him playing on the next level by the end of the season for sure.     I've written about Brayden a number of times, as I've seen him in camp/showcase settings, and he's impressed every time I've seen him. The way he moves with fluid athleticism and speed at his size is an impressive thing to me. He's also a multi-sport athlete, which does nothing but enhance what he can do between the lines. He's a good linebacker who can rush the passer in situations with good pressure off the edge. He can also contribute in packages in the running game, and I'd expect that to continue going into his senior year. Expect Brayden to be a leader for this group as well.     Landon continues the theme of talented two-way players for the Storm. Landon was one of the leading receivers for the Storm last season, and his height and catch radius are major pluses in working downfield for big plays against favorable coverage looks. Landon has good discipline in running his routes and is a willing blocker in the running game. Landon also makes a good impact in the defensive secondary, where he had 6 interceptions and 30 tackles. Landon is a returning All-Conference player, and he'll be a big key to the Storm's success once again this season.     A lot of people are high on this young man to have a big breakout season, and he fits the mold of another potential two-way contributor for the Storm. He's primarily been working at tight end, and his size and reach, along with his speed, have intrigued some college programs. I'm excited to see what he can do as an EDGE prospect, and I suspect he will get his chance to show it. He's got the physical frame already to warrant college offers, as he received one from Georgia Southern in late spring.     Coming over from Mountain Island, Bryce was a tackling machine with over 100 tackles this past season. Stuart Cramer lost a really good linebacker to graduation, so there is a natural hole for Bryce to slide into and contribute to the Storm. Obviously, Bryce is a solid form tackler and shows some good instincts to get to the football in the running game. His experience and talent will be a nice asset for a team looking to take a couple of more steps as a contender for next season.
