Central Florida continues to be one of the premier football regions in America. State champions, nationally ranked programs, powerhouse coaching staffs, and Division I talent can all be found throughout the region

DeLand

Head Coach: Rick Darlington
2025 Record: 12-1
2025 Finish: State Semifinalist

At some point, success stops being a coincidence. Rick Darlington continues to maximize his roster as well as any coach in Florida. The Bulldogs have developed a reputation for toughness, discipline, and consistency, all traits that translate well into postseason football. Coming off another deep playoff run and returning one of the state's most dynamic rising playmakers in Tajh Moore, DeLand feels positioned for a championship push.

Evans

Head Coach: Karlos Odum
2025 Record: 8-3
2025 Finish: Regional Quarterfinalist

Evans may be the biggest riser in these rankings. The Trojans not only held their own last season, but they also enter the fall with one of the region's most experienced quarterbacks in Maryland commit [player_tooltip player_id='1144254' first='William' last='Jackson']. There is a growing confidence surrounding the program, and the roster may be even stronger than it was a year ago. After years of showing flashes, this feels like a season where Evans has a legitimate opportunity to establish itself among Central Florida's top tier.

Eau Gallie

Head Coach: Chris Sands
2025 Record: 9-4
2025 Finish: Regional Finalist

Few teams in Florida return more intriguing talent than Eau Gallie. The Commodores came within a field goal of reaching the state semifinals last season and have continued building momentum throughout the offseason. While much of the excitement centers around a talented young core, the bigger story is a program that appears ready to take another step forward. The ceiling is extremely high, and this could be one of the breakout teams in Florida.

Merritt Island
The Mustangs have generated significant offseason momentum behind USF commit [player_tooltip player_id='2137672' first='Kevin' last='Verpaele'] and several key additions. If the roster continues trending upward, Merritt Island could easily find itself inside the Top 10 before the season is over.

West Orange
Plenty of talent returns, and the Warriors are capable of making noise behind a rising roster. Led by one of the top 2028 QBs in AJ Chung, West Orange has quietly reloaded with several young pieces and remains one of the more dangerous teams in the Orlando area entering the season.
