He's not going to run too much (62 carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns). Kropkowski received an offer from Catholic University on June 26th.

He's on the smaller side, but he has the arm strength to put enough zip on intermediate and deep throws. His highlights show him hitting his targets in rhythm. Need to see more in terms of throws toward the sideline to fully evaluate his arm strength. Can he connect on that 10-12 yard out route from the opposite hash? There's enough evidence in last year's highlights to show he's also a legit threat as a runner. Sees the field well and distributes the football to multiple receivers.

Some great plays were made last week at UMD! He caught 43 passes for 739 yards (17.2 yards per catch) and five touchdowns. Tupper committed to Monmouth on June 25th. He is one of the most explosive wide receivers in the state. It's surprising that he doesn't have more touchdown catches. Tupper showed last year that he can run all types of routes. I was impressed with a few of his fade-ball catches for touchdowns in the red zone in his 2025 season highlights. He runs precise routes and is an excellent open-field runner after the catch. Lines up on the outside for his high school team, but with his current size and ability, Tupper could easily do damage at slot as well.

Note: His HUDL profile page currently lists him at 195 pounds.

Derius comes back as the team's top rusher. He carried the football 79 times for 647 yards and seven touchdowns while sharing carries with Aaron Foote (graduated). I previously evaluated him back in March. I'm looking forward to seeing how much he's improved his top-end speed. One of the top returning running backs in Class 4A. Downhill runner that runs with power, has strong long leg drive, and has the ability to break off the occasional 10-15 yard run. Tough to tackle once he gets going, has proven he can run through tackles and usually finds a way to fall forward when he finishes runs. Don't sleep on his ability to get to the outside either. Does most of his damage in between the tackles, but can also pop to the outside as well for big gains.

Fresty caught 28 passes for 336 yards and two touchdowns last season. I feel he has the ability to catch at least 40 passes, go over 500 receiving yards, and score at least 5 touchdowns. Based on the highlights that I watched, Fresty should make his presence felt as both a wide receiver and kick returner this upcoming season. I like his straight-line speed a lot. On the small side, but still should be even more effective this upcoming season from the slot position.

OTHER PLAYERS TO WATCH

Gordon intercepted six passes last season. Brief highlights show him forcing turnovers downfield as the center fielder on defense. Gordon is undersized at the safety position, but that doesn't deter him from coming up in the run game and making physical tackles. From a recruiting standpoint, I would like to see more plays that show him quickly reading and reacting to routes run in front of him. Also need to see more of him tackling ball carriers in space.

UMD 7on7 Champions @broadneckfb pic.twitter.com/QwlM3kM8Dr
— [player_tooltip player_id='1707418' first='Preston' last='Gordon'] (@prestongordon_) June 22, 2026

Other Player to watch

[player_tooltip player_id='1631092' first='Riley' last='Bates'] | Offensive Lineman | 6-3 | 230 | 2027
