As we approach the season, we have begun a new round of rankings updates. The latest class to be updated in Kentucky is the incoming senior class of 2027. With our newest Top 250 being released for the class, I will be taking some time to break them down by position. He is coming off yet another strong season at defensive end for Corbin. Brown is a very disruptive defender against the run as his combination of pure strength and speed make him a tough player for opposing offensive linemen to block. He fights through blocks with ease on his way to the ball carrier and is a sure tackler once he gets to the ball carrier, finishing last season with 66 tackles and 11 tackles for loss in 14 games. Malachi has also shown promise as a pass rusher, recording eight sacks as a junior. He lines up at defensive tackle where he creates chaos in the opposing backfield on a regular basis, both against the run and as a pass rusher. Meads uses his explosive speed to shoot through the gap and get into the backfield before opposing offensive linemen have a chance to block him. When offensive linemen are able to get their hands on him, he has shown the ability to fight through their blocks with ease. Meads does a great job of finishing once he gets to the ball carrier/quarterback, finishing last season with a team-high 72 tackles in 14 games along with 17 tackles for loss and nine sacks. McKee lines up at defensive end where he is a very impressive pass rusher. He does a great job of using his speed and pass rush moves to blow by opposing offensive linemen on his way to the quarterback. Once McKee gets into the pocket, he has shown the ability to finish at the quarterback, finishing last season with five sacks and several quarterback pressures in 13 games. He has also proven to be reliable against the run, recording 51 tackles and 21 tackles for loss as a junior. He is a versatile defensive lineman who can play inside at tackle or off the edge as a defensive end. Lind is a very skilled pass rusher who plays with a high motor. He explodes out of his stance then uses his speed and quick pass rush moves to fight to get to the quarterback with ease. Lind recorded four sacks and multiple pressures in 13 games as a junior. He also finished last season with 58 tackles and made a big impact at offensive tackle, where he could also play at the next level. Hall is a long, athletic defensive end who is very dependable against the run. He does a great job of reading the play then shedding blocks with a sense of urgency and using his speed to get to the ball carrier before they can get going. Hall is a very reliable tackler in the open field, recording 47 tackles and 11 tackles for loss in 11 games this past season. He also finished his junior year with 3.5 sacks.
