Crown College Elite Prospect Camp: IL, IA, and GA Standouts

With our final piece of content from the Crown College Elite Prospect Camp we dove into the other areas of the country that had the deepest amount of talent outside of Minnesota and Wisconsin who we alrady overed. Find out which prospects from which states below were in the top-tier at the home of the 2025 UMAC Champions.   Illinois    Hands MVP   Harry was one of a few 2027 wide receivers that finished in my top-tier at the Crown College Elite Camp on Saturday afternon. Harry was hard to miss from the first jump of camp, showing off very elusive change of direction and it reflect in his testing numbers, which Harry ran a 7.19 L-drill and 4.47 in his pro agility. Harry from my eyes, had the best hands in the wide receiver group and not only caught just about everything that came his way, but did show with poise and notable upfield progression. He picked up his third offer from Crown College ater camp on Saturday.     A new name out of Chicago's far Western suburbs was 2027 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='2239806' first='Ashtyn' last='Stuckey'] of West Aurora at the Crown College Elite Prospect Camp. Ashtyn was explosive in early testing and ran a 4.68 40-yard dash on the lasers and from the eye test I got on Ashtyn, his triple jump I thought showed off more explosiveness to grow than the 26'1 number shows along with a 7.6 L-drill as well. The later reps I got from Ashtyn show off the postion flexibility he has as my projection algins as a slot receiver at the next-level.     One of a couple 2027 prospects that made the trip to the Crown College Elite Camp from Chicago Christian that made my radar was defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='2238557' first='Isaac' last='Workman']. The athleticism that Isaac showed off from the jump of camp on Saturday afternoon showed off upside to grow his change of direction even further as he showed off that growth when I watched him in the L-drill which he recorded a 7.50. Where Isaac makes up for his size is with his instincts, as this young man showed off as an athlete that gets downhill and quite quickly from a gamespeed perspective in the live eval I got. Surely another duo from Chicago Christian to watch for this fall in his senior season.    Iowa    Another 2027 new name this time coming out of the Hawkeye State, was Sheldon defensive end Ayden Miller. Ayden got my attention during Indy and later in 1v1s with the twitch he showed with his get off which of course you want to see that early from a defensive end. The 6'1 190 pounder pounder has some frame still to grow to get to the next-level, but the uspide that should continue with his athletic traits that were well-noted in testing as well, as Ayden went 5.1 in the 40-yard dash, 4.79 in the pro agility, and 7.66 in the L-drill.     An Iowa running back that caught the bulk of my attention amongst prospects in the state at teh Crown College Elite Camp was Grand View Christian's Isaiah Miguez. Isaiah showed the quick suddenness you want to see coming out of the backfield and I liked how Isaiah continued to pick up speed into the second level. He showed off some fo the best footwork I saw during the bags drill as well which makes since as he went 7.25 in the L-drill which in the top-tier for times in the RB group. The 5'9 190 pound is one that I am surprised that doesn't have an offer yet.     Izaiah was a linebacker from the Crown College Prospect Camp out of Forest City in the 2028 class that was one of the top underclassmen out of the pack of prospects that came from the Hawkeye State. The 5'11 190 pounder was one that hit the early eye test due to his frame as a well-built linebacker that boosted some explosive traits with his releases he showed off during testing and into Indy drills. He's got a high motor that college coaches will like and shows off as one that was quite rangy for his size during the reps I watched and that's grown in my eyes, since his sophomore season at Forest City. One of the best 2028s I saw on the defensive side of the ball on Saturday afternoon.    Georgia    All the speed you wanted to see at the Crown College Elite Prospect Camp came out of the state of Georgia, as one 2027 perspective that was persistently logged into my notebook a handful of times on Saturday afternoon was Landmark Christian's [player_tooltip player_id='2236495' first='Sean' last='Neal']. The eye-catching speed was quickly noted in Saint Bonni, as Sean recorded a 4.55 in the 40-yard dash, not hand-timed on lasers. He also showed off edgy change of direction when I watched him in the L-drill which was recorded as a 7.18. I got to watch Sean in a bunch of 1v1s, and really liked his consistency he put together with his route-tree. That wasn't the only skillset that Sean showed off in 1v1s, as he displayed excellent hands and I felt was slightly even more posied with those hands in high traffic areas. A big sleeper out of Georgia that got untapped at Crown with his first offer.     Skills MVP   Taking home the Skills MVP nod from the Crown College coaching staff at their elite prospect camp was another product of the the south Atlanta suburbs in Mt. Zion-Jonesboro 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='650326' first='Deshon' last='Yancey']. Deshon had the only sub-4.5 40 yard dash I have seen on lasers this summer and was the only one also at the Crown College Elite Prospect Camp that ran inside 7 seconds in the L-drill as well as the speed and twitch were surely on the display on Saturday afternoon in Polars Country. Deshon was one that we have graded as an athlete, as the skills he showed off in Saint Bonni in my eyes could translate to either side of the ball but surely Suatrday showed off the upside that can continue to grow with his hands.
