Colorado Prospects Primed to Break Out

Reinert measures in at 6'2 207-pounds playing wide receiver for Arapahoe. He displays good athletic ability due to very good change of direction, acceleration, good speed, and jumping. Reinert uses his very quick and controlled feet to beat the press jam. Good route running and quick cuts breaking off his stem. Good separation quickness. Reinert displays very good ball adjustment and very good body control. Keeps both feet in bounds going against his own momentum. Good ball tracking and catching. He's got great size and speed to great YAC. As a linebacker, he shows an explosive burst off the edge with good tackling. I'm excited to see how Ryland approaches this upcoming season looking to be a big contributor on the varsity side.     Ross measures in at 6'0 175-pounds playing QB for Discovery Canyon. Last season, he went 21/46 for 447 yards, 45.7% completion rate, 6 TDs, 2 INT, and 95 carries for 431 yards with 4 touchdowns. He's a dual threat QB. He has good athletic ability due to very good balance, speed, good acceleration, and change of direction. Ross exhibits a quick release with good touch on his throws. Good footwork and good throw power. Ross has very good throw on the run and off-platform throws. Throws on his backfoot while falling back, making an accurate sideline pass downfield. Ross isn't afraid of throwing it with defenders in his face as well. When he's a runner, he uses his speed and balance to burn past defenders and create extra yards after contact. With work on his accuracy, he'll be a more deadly threat come this fall.     Cortez is an intriguing defense end measuring in at 6'5 225-pounds. He has lengthy arms and frame to succeed to at the next level. This past season, he had 26 total tackle (6 solo, 20 assisted), with 3 TFL. Cortez has good athletic ability due to good acceleration, lateral quickness, balance, and speed. Good initial quickness with a smooth bend to get around the OT and into the backfield. Cortez displays very good strength to power through blocks with good get off and block shedding ability. Stuffs gaps and attacks RBs. Runs through OTs with a head full of steam. Will use his relentless pursuit to chase down the QB or RB out in space downfield to get the tackle. Cortez displays good tackling and very good competitive toughness. He holds some D1 offers currently and is looking to have a standout senior season!     Herrera plays OT/DT for Mullen measures in at 6'4 290-pounds. As a DT, he had 21 total tackle (6 solo, 15 assisted). Herrera has good knee bend, flexibility, and body control. Does a great job re-adjusting when initially beat and winning the rep. Very good competitive toughness. Good initial quickness with good hand speed. Uses his very good hand placement and strength to control and steer defenders in both the run and pass game. Solid speed and acceleration to reach the perimeter and block out in space. Does a good job run blocking on the move and with pull blocking. Good anchor. As a DT, he implements the techniques from the offensive line and uses his physicality to split double blocks to attack the backfield. I'm excited to see how Herrera caps off his senior season!     Copeland is a running back that will start to rise up ranks once the season begins. The RB/DB for Denver Christian measures in at 5'9 140-pounds. Last season, he had 24 carries for 266 yards with 3 touchdowns, 22 total tackles (15 solo, 7 assisted), 1 INT, 2 PD, with 1 FF. He displays good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, good speed, jumping, and change of direction. As a running back, he thrives running inside. Demonstrates good vision to pivot into open gaps when the schemed ones are closed. Uses his quick bursts of acceleration to create separation and gain yards after contact. He runs with a head full of steam. As a DB, he has a good back pedal and him fluidity. Matches receivers breaking into their route and uses his good timing with closing quickness to disrupt passes. Good tackling as well. Watch out for Copeland.
