2029 Recruits That Everyone Will Be Talking About This Fall

Our team has been doing an excellent job identifying and breaking down the top prospects in the 2029 class so far, and today we're analyzing players who could absolutely explode onto the scene in 2026 despite being ranked outside of our top 75 recruits in the cycle.    Isaiah Khyree Lewis is an impressive prospect along Radford's defensive line who should gain some more attention as a sophomore in 2026. He's fairly versatile when it comes to where he can contribute along the line of scrimmage, mainly due to his overall strength at the point of attack.   He's shown the ability to be a stout run defender despite being "only" 225 lbs., and he's incredibly athletic, which allows him to explode off the line and spin or juke around offensive linemen.   Lewis should have a huge year in 2026, and he's undoubtedly going to gain a lot more attention as a prospect.     [player_tooltip player_id='1864341' first='Isaiah' last='Burroughs'] is one of the most underrated linebackers in the 2029 class, and he should explode onto the scene this season. He's already a top-notch run defender due to his surprisingly advanced processing and anticipation skills, and consistent tackling ability.   He was also a very good blitzer, both when it comes to designed blitzes and "dog" blitzes as a freshman. Burroughs is as consistent as it gets when it comes to sifting through traffic and making his way to the ball, making him one of the more intriguing sophomore defenders in the NoVa area.   He could skyrocket up the recruiting rankings in 2026 if he continues to play at a high level.     [player_tooltip player_id='1752242' first='Bo' last='Gardner'] is a well-rounded offensive lineman who's been effective as both a run blocker and pass protector. He obviously needs to clean up his technique, but he has great size and keeps his head on a swivel.   Gardner was very impressive at center as a freshman and shows the type of demeanor that college coaches love to see. He wants to drive his opponents into the ground, and isn't afraid to completely erase defenders by taking them out to the sideline or 15 yards away from the play in the run game.   He's going to be an offensive lineman to keep an eye on in 2026, and he should start gaining some more collegiate attention this season.     [player_tooltip player_id='2081651' first='Delonte' last='King'] is a fun ball-carrier to watch. He's multi-faceted and runs with more power than his 160-pound frame would suggest. He also appears to show good vision and a good feel for developing run lanes on both the front and backside of plays.   King lined up in the slot as well for Robinson's JV team, motioning around and being effective on different sweep variations as well.   He's an ascending running back in the 2029 class, and one who could get more publicity throughout the 2026 season.     [player_tooltip player_id='2089447' first='Xavier' last='Winkelmann'] is one of the most impressive 2029 receivers who's outside of our top 15 at the position. He does a lot of things well, and stood out in our Winter Showcase earlier in the year.   He was a varsity player as a freshman, and is incredibly advanced for his age when it comes to route-running, footwork, and ball skills. It's easy to see why Wakefield-Arlington's staff had a hard time keeping him off the field in 2025.   Watching him juke out defenders with double-moves and head fakes on a consistent basis is extremely intriguing to see, and it's obvious that he's been coached very well so far.   It honestly wouldn't be surprising to see Winkelmann start to rake in D1 offers in 2026.
