2027 Kentucky RBs Ready for the Next Level

We're heading over to the 2027 backfield today to highlight a group of backs who are still on the board and have the potential to end their careers with a bang as they aim to play on Saturdays.    England is an impressive back with a big frame and the kind of speed you don't usually see at his size. He has legitimate home run ability and can score from anywhere on the field once he gets a crease. He's also tough to bring down, running through contact and bouncing off smaller tacklers without losing much momentum. The combination of size, speed, and power makes him a difficult matchup for defenses. He looks the part every time you watch him, and I'm excited to see where he ends up because there's a lot to like about his game.     Brock is a true workhorse back. He held up all season and actually seemed to get stronger as games went on. He runs with good pad level, breaks tackles, and consistently churns out tough yards when nothing is there. He also has soft hands and is more than capable of coming out of the backfield. He owns the school career rushing record and has 1 more year left. He put up 1,800 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns while adding another 430 receiving yards and 4 scores through the air in year 3. I came away really impressed with how complete his game is. He's not just piling up carries. He's impacting the offense in just about every way you can ask a running back to.     King is a shifty back with quick feet and really good vision. He does a nice job getting upfield without wasting movement and always seems to find a crease. He's a fun player to watch because of how slippery he is in space. The first defender rarely brings him down because he'll make a guy miss or slip through an arm tackle before accelerating again. Once he gets into the open field, he has the home run speed to finish the play. I really like his tape because every time he touches the ball, it feels like something big could happen.     Richardson has really good contact balance and acceleration, which makes him a tough runner to slow down once he gets going. He has good speed, hits the hole at full speed, and doesn't spend time dancing around in the backfield. He trusts what he sees, gets north and south, and makes defenders deal with him in a hurry. Even when it doesn't look like much is there, he has a way of turning solid gains into explosive ones. That's the kind of runner who keeps an offense ahead of the chains, and I think he's someone who can quietly rise boards in year 4.     Spearman is an underrated back who runs with really good vision. He's a natural zone runner who does a nice job letting blocks develop before sticking his foot in the ground and getting upfield as soon as the crease opens. He doesn't rush things and has the patience to let the play come to him when it needs to. He's also shifty enough to make the first defender miss without trying to do too much. I like runners who understand what they're supposed to be, and Spearman does a good job playing to his strengths.
