Under Armour Next-Up Baltimore camp 1v1s Wide Receivers Pt. 2

Smith leaps for the pass that reaches him in the end zone over the outstretched hands of the defensive back. Great body control in the air.   Rep 2: Smith is lined up on the outside, and the defensive back is at least 7 yards off the ball and seemingly aligned to the outside. He has a good read on the comeback route, but Smith boxes him out with his big body and makes the catch despite the contact of the defensive back. Smith is going to win that physical battle every time with a smaller defender on him. Does a nice job of coming back to the ball and shielding.   Rep 3: Smith is lined up in the slot against off-man coverage (five yards). The defensive back is in good position as Smith gets into his five-yard dig route. At the break, the defensive back tries to get physical with Smith, loses his balance, and loses the battle. Smith can get great separation and makes the catch with his hands coming across the field   Rep 4: Smith is lined up in the slot against press coverage. The defensive back gets a decent jam on him, and Smith releases outside and runs a comeback route. Smith does another great job of boxing out the defender (who is literally on his back) and makes the catch along the sideline.   [player_tooltip player_id='1311469' first='Anthony' last='Henderson Jr.'] | 2027 | Kings Fork | Virginia   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepredzone.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2026/06/26wwinv4b-edited.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2229245" /></figure>   Rep 1: Henderson is lined up in the slot against off-man coverage (five yards, aligned outside). Once he eats up the defensive back's cushion, he accelerates by him on the outside and causes him to miss the jam. Henderson has him beat by a few yards downfield, but the quarterback underthrows the pass, incompletion.   Rep 2: Lines up on the outside against off-man coverage (five yards, aligned inside), Henderson eats up the cushion, gives a stutter-step fake and continues go-route down the sideline. Henderson beats the defensive back by at least 5-6 yards, but the ball is underthrown, and he drops the pass (tough but catchable).   Rep 3: lined up on the outside against press coverage. Gives a little hesitation move before releasing outside with no jam from the defensive back. Henderson easily gets into a 10-yard dig route and makes the catch. He is shifty and quick off the line of scrimmage. It's hard for defensive backs to get their hands on him.   [player_tooltip player_id='1604384' first='Thaddeus' last='Corley'] | 2027 | Episcopal | Virginia   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepredzone.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2026/06/IMG_1027-edited.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-2229234" /></figure>   Rep 1: Lined up in the slot, the defensive back is in off-man coverage (at least 7 yards). Based on the defensive back's alignment, he smartly runs a 10-yard comeback, snagging the ball out of the air with his hands.   Rep 2: Lined up in the slot, the defensive back gets a good jam on Corley, who initially releases outside. Corley can make the defensive back overcommit inside, and he's able to get back inside to complete the five-yard out route and make the catch. Nice job of adjusting mid-route.   Rep 3: Lined up on the outside, he is held as soon as he takes an outside release on a go-route. Has the defensive back beat by a yard but is held while the ball is thrown in the air. Incomplete pass, but he wins the rep.   [player_tooltip player_id='2131987' first='Xavier' last='Brown'] | 2027 | Bishop McNamara | Maryland   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepredzone.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2026/06/29WHITEWINCATCHVS34BLACK-edited.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2229241" /></figure>   Rep 1: Lined up inside of the numbers against off-man coverage (five yards, slightly outside alignment). He stumbles coming out of his 10-yard comeback route with the defensive back right behind him. He's able to keep his concentration as he's falling forward and makes a great catch (great throw too) with the defender all over him.   Rep 2: Lined up on the outside, the defensive back is in off-man coverage at 7 or so yards, respecting Brown's speed. Makes sense as Brown runs his go-route right past him and has him beat by a few yards. Unfortunately for him, the ball is underthrown, and the pass falls incomplete. He still wins the rep.   Rep 3: Lined up on the outside against press coverage, Brown releases freely into a go-route down the sideline. The defensive back is in good position once the ball is thrown in the air about 20-plus yards downfield. Brown wins the 50/50 ball by making a great twisting adjustment in the air and makes the catch. Great concentration.   Rep 4: Lined up on the outside, inside of the numbers against off-man coverage (defensive back seems to be lined up head-up at five yards, no-man's land). He gets a free release to the outside and runs a post-corner route. Brown gets a couple of yards in separation after breaking to the corner, but the ball is underthrown, and the defensive back can recover and break up the pass. Incompletion, but Brown won that rep.   Rep 5: Lined up on the outside, gets jammed (probably the only time I saw him get jammed) as he tries to get into his five-yard out route. Not the cleanest rep, but he ultimately gets free and makes the catch.
