Prep Redzone Louisiana released its latest 2028 class rankings update Thursday and continues taking a deeper dive into some of the newest developments.

A few familiar faces on the offensive side of the ball saw their rankings rise within the top 100 after strong performances sophomore year from the season this past fall to continued showcases of their talent this spring and early summer.

The movement started at the top with small — in terms of number of spots — but notable climbs near the very top of the list and included some particularly sizable leaps up the list as well.

Here's a look at eight that particularly stood out.

Caiden Bellard — 5-10, 190 RB — Lafayette Christian

Bellard is among a few prospects in the class who earned an early ranking last year off some limited early looks and went on to quickly exceed that initial spot on the list. He earned all-state recognition with more than 1,500 yards as the bellcow for productive Knights offense against a tough schedule of opponents, particularly in non-district, with a loaded highlight reel powering through contact and running by and over defenders with some impressive balance and acceleration.

Ja'Myron Dillon — 5-8, 175 RB — Amite

The biggest riser in this round of 2028 rankings updates, Dillon has been one of the most productive young running backs in the class thus far with a 1,000-yard sophomore season and about 2,000 yards the past two years combined. He's not the biggest back, but does have a solid build and plays with a ton of toughness and balance between the tackles and through contact. He shows some good suddenness to make defenders miss, is continuing to work on and improve his long speed and has shown some potential in offseason settings as a viable pass-catching option out of the backfield.

Curtis McAllister — 6-3, 185 WR — Metairie Park Country Day

The question remains whether the son of former New Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister ultimately proves a football or basketball prospect. But beyond the obvious gridiron lineage, the younger McAllister has continued to look more and more the part of a next-level pass-catcher as he fills out physically and stockpiles highlights not only as a big target capable of pulling down jump-balls, but also his ability to make defenders miss for additional yards after the catch. Louisiana's rising junior class of wide receivers is loaded, and McAllister continues to look like one of the weapons near the top of that list that Power-Four programs will want to have on Saturdays.

D.J. Neal — 5-10, 175 RB — Franklin Parish

Another of the budding stars of Louisiana's absolutely loaded 2028 running backs class, Neal has proven himself such as effective weapon early in his high school career to warrant considerable touches in the backfield alongside a rising senior who recently committed to LSU. Neal has a solid build and the strength and balance to power through some contact, the quick feet to dance his way through traffic and the speed to be gone in a hurry for huge gains once a clear running lane develops. And he's a well-rounded back with the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield as well, making him an even more effective weapon and prospect.

Jaelle Noble — 6-1, 185 QB/ATH — St. Augustine

Noble was solid this fall in his role as a backup and change-of-pace quarterback behind the Purple Knights' senior starter. And a particularly encouraging offseason has helped bolster his stock and the optimism for what the fall could look like as he takes the reins of the offense full-time. Noble ran a 4.60-second laser-timed 40-yard dash as Louisiana vs. All Y'all Elite Prospects Camp in February, a solid time overall and particularly strong for a quarterback his age. And he has shown more and more promise as a passer in a variety of settings with the ability to drive the ball downfield to his weapons on the outside.

London Padgett — 6-1, 185 QB — John Curtis

The Patriots' young quarterback entered this past fall with a lot of confidence from his coaches and teammates, but still a lot to prove. He followed through with intriguing flashes of big talent as both a passer and an athlete capable of big plays with his legs to help lead the team back to the semifinals and within seconds of a potential title-game trip. Padgett's quickness makes him tough to corral in the backfield, allowing him to extend plays or break contain, and he shows breakaway speed in the open field. He possesses the arm talent to put some impressive throws onto tight targets, even on the move, and he's now listed a couple inches taller than last summer and has started checking those measurables boxes that can be make-or-break for many college coaches,

Dalen Powell — 6-2, 190 RB — Ruston

Powell debuted at No. 5 last offseason before earning his first varsity action and proceeded to follow up this fall with as impressive a breakout season as anyone in the state to force his way up another few spots to No. 2 in the latest update. His explosiveness, vision, elusiveness and breakaway speed painted a clear picture of one of the best running backs in the state — and, for that matter, also one of its most game-changing return weapons. And he may only beginning to scratch the surface as he continues to get stronger, stockpile experience and confidence and see opportunities to showcase more of his pass-catching ability as well.

Jayden Taylor — 6-4, 260 OL — St. Augustine

The Purple Knights' left tackle debuted with a high ranking at No. 26 after his length and athleticism stood out in a brief scrimmage opportunity to see him live. This fall, he held down the blind side in one of the state's toughest leagues and for St. Augustine's best season since the 1970s. He's now listed about 30 pounds stronger and has continued to excel in camp settings throughout the spring and early summer with combination of length, quickness and balance at the position.
