If college coaches are looking for talented pass catchers to develop, our in-state senior class has a bevy of guys that fit the bill with several of them having high ceilings. Our rankings show this as well with thirty three prospects listed inside our "Tennessee Top 300" and I think it will grow after the coming season. Here we go in-depth with our receiver class and where they are placed inside our senior rankings.

- Some of the best overall talent from our in-state senior class resides right here with the receivers and it's a deep group too that I think can improve further as we get into the 2026 season. There is star power at the top along with some middle tier prospects that show the physical abilities and traits to develop and move up in our next updated rankings. I like this year's collection of receivers here in Tennessee and it should be a fun group to follow during the upcoming Fall football year.

Top Tier (Inside Top 100) ……

- Ranked 2nd overall and 1st among the receivers, Brentwood Academy pass catcher [player_tooltip player_id='378855' first='Kesean' last='Bowman'] is an elite level talent that brings a ton of upside to his position and room to improve further as he gets into college. Currently committed to Tennessee, Bowman is a natural athlete with solid size that comes off the line quickly and into his routes before the defensive back is able to make adjustments. He is also a natural pass catcher with strong hands that will snatch it away amongst contact. While the Eagles senior receiver has been nearly dominant throughout his high school career, I still think Bowman has more levels to go in his game, which speaks to how good he can be.

Big and physical with tons of next level potential, Riverdale senior [player_tooltip player_id='1103038' first='Brylan' last='Oduor'] (8th overall) is our second ranked receiver due to his excellent combination of athleticism, size and speed. The Warriors pass catcher is dripping with college and potentially NFL upside as he brings all the tools you look for out wide. Oduor is currently committed to Auburn after gaining a ton of big time offers and I expect his recruitment to stay warm leading up to signing day as others continue to pursue.

Lausanne senior [player_tooltip player_id='1556594' first='Lawrence' last='Britt'] (10th overall/3rd WR) has been one of the more heavily pursued prospects from our TN2027 class and he could be close to wrapping up his commitment. This Memphis area receiver is a playmaker with the ball in his hands due to his size and speed and unique ability to find the end zone. Britt does need further work in the weight room forming his body but the raw tools are in place to potentially become a #1 receiving option on the collegiate level.

Sporting next level abilities on either side of the ball, Collierville senior [player_tooltip player_id='1285495' first='Tae' last='Walden, Jr'] (11th overall/4th WR) could honestly be recruited for offense or defense but us here at Prep Redzone Tennessee and many coaches around the country like this guy for receiver. His natural playmaking abilities, his hands and ability to create after the catch are big factors towards his upside on offense and what he will be bringing to a Power Four program next Fall.

It's hard to say someone ranked 26th overall inside our “Tennessee Top 300” is under the radar but I think [player_tooltip player_id='1118087' first='Eli' last='Ferguson'] is and remains that way headed into the 2026 season. This Mid-Tennessee product has some of the quickest footwork of any receiver in this class and potentially the top slot player in this receiving group. The Brentwood Academy senior can be electric before and after the catch with the speed to find the end zone on a consistent basis.

Probably one of the hottest recruits right now is Alcoa senior [player_tooltip player_id='817933' first='Jamir' last='Dean']. Currently committed to Penn State, Dean (28th overall/6th WR) is starting to gain traction from some SEC schools, including Georgia, where he visited last weekend. A big factor why big programs are interested is due to the Tornadoes natural athletic abilities, speed and room to get better once on the college level. Dean has elite traits about him that are yet to be fulfilled and I think college staffs are seeing that.

Speed is the calling card for South Pitt receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1577095' first='Dayon' last='Cooper'], who brings a versatile skill set to the field that can be utilized in several ways. The Pirates senior (31st overall/7th WR) has the ability to turn a small gain into long yards and a touchdown. His speed is tough to handle for opposing defenses and his game isn't bad either. Cooper must be refined with his route running but the big play abilities are definitely in place to become a college game changer.

Notre Dame receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1103039' first='Jacorrion' last='Tramble'] (38th overall/8th WR) has some of the best long term potential in this class and someone that is still far from a finished product, so the future looks bright. Standing 6 '2 205 pounds, Tramble is a physical specimen that looks the part of a college guy and he can run as well. This Chattanooga area prospect has a great combination of size and speed that could be tough to handle on the outside, especially once he puts everything together.

Brentwood Academy is loaded at receiver this year with Bowman, Ferguson and this slot guy in [player_tooltip player_id='1410131' first='Lexton' last='Baskin']. Sporting a versatile game that could work in several areas on the field, including special teams, Baskin (66th overall/9th WR) has the ability to work the open holes on defense and create after the catch. He also has enough speed to beat his man deep. The Eagles senior does need to get bigger and enhance his game a little further but Baskin is talented with his best football days ahead of him.

One of the fastest prospects in this class and not just for the receivers but the entire state is Powell senior [player_tooltip player_id='1708407' first='Zi' last='Jackson']. This East Tennessee product gets off the line and into open space very quickly and once he gets going, defenders have a hard time catching up to him. Sporting the kind of speed he does, Jackson (73rd overall/10th WR) would be ranked higher if he wasn't 5 '10 155 pounds but the Panthers wideout makes up for it with dynamic running and the ability to separate.

Ranked just behind Jackson at 74th overall, Pearl Cohn wideout [player_tooltip player_id='1608413' first='Stephen' last='Saulter'] (11th WR) is a big bodied, power forward style pass catcher that does a great job of shielding off defenders and bringing in the catch. The Firebirds senior looks the part of a college guy with a broad shouldered, wide radius frame and the arm length to be a difficult cover. I can see Saulter moving up in the next updated rankings with increased agility and speed this coming season.

#TN2027 Wide Receiver Rankings/Database

- - - - -

The Next Tier (Inside Top 200) ……

- We have eleven receivers ranked inside the “Top 100” and while all those guys are legit, we have others just beyond that group that are talented and I think have a shot to boost their stocks with strong senior campaigns. Some of the guys in this section either have the size wanted or the athleticism or the speed worthy to play on the big stage of college football but may be lacking in one area or another. If these receivers below can develop and enhance their skill sets further, more interest and bigger programs might come calling.

A physical pass catcher and one of the better route runners in this class, MBA senior [player_tooltip player_id='1691433' first='Carter' last='Kilburg'] (130th overall/12th WR) has the tools to carve out a strong role on the college level and even become a go-to guy with increased agility and speed. The Big Red wideout is a technique sound, high football IQ guy that understands what he is doing on the field and how to get himself open. Kilburg isn't an explosive athlete but he is a sure handed, dependable guy that does all the small things right.

Melrose senior [player_tooltip player_id='1103458' first='Tavarco' last='Jackson'] has the physical tools looked for by college coaches and the ball skills to become a dependable wideout but he can become more formidable with enhanced explosion and speed. This Memphis area product (131st overall/13th WR) is a natural athlete that shows potential to be a big play creator in college but Jackson needs further refinement in several areas, especially his route running and speed.

One of the better slot options we have in this class, Brentwood senior [player_tooltip player_id='903953' first='Jones' last='Merrill'] is someone I am high on with his future endeavors in college due to his crisp route running, intelligence and speed. If Jones (133rd overall/14th WR) was two to three inches taller, he would hold a bevy of Power Four and D1 offers but the Bruins senior has to play the long game and continue proving his worth in camps this summer and throughout his senior year.

Photo: Brentwood WR [player_tooltip player_id='903953' first='Jones' last='Merrill'].

It's hard for me to look at [player_tooltip player_id='1617382' first='Ryan' last='Lyons'] (145th overall/15th WR) junior film and wonder why he doesn't have any offers right now because he can ball and I think he has his best football days ahead of him. Transferring to Gordonsville for his senior year, Lyons is electric with the ball in his hands and the ability to turn a short gain into a touchdown. Lyons has spent his high school life on the small level of Tennessee high school football, so that may be why he is flying way under the radar but he is talented and worthy of more looks.

Nash. Christian wideout [player_tooltip player_id='933063' first='Kaden' last='Grigsby'] (147th overall/16th WR) and [player_tooltip player_id='2169306' first='Jadyn' last='Dehart'] (148th overall/17th WR) out of Hardin Valley are two slot guys that display the athleticism, ball skills and speed to become difference makers on the college stage. Grigsby is a multi-year starter with a lot of experience that shows strong hands with knack for consistently getting open. Dehart is one of the bigger hidden gems from this receiver class that runs very well, showing explosive flashes on film with the ability to separate from his defender.

There is a scenario where [player_tooltip player_id='2158318' first='Noel' last='Meza-Flores'] (149th overall/18th WR) not only moves up our rankings during the next update but potentially gains bigger interest from D1 programs. I see a lot of potential with this Eagleton wideout and his future on the college level. What stands out about this East Tennessee prospect is his physical size, ball skills and ability to create after the catch. If Meza-Flores can increase his agility and speed going into his senior year, he might see his stock take off.

This off-season has done wonders for GCA wideout [player_tooltip player_id='1629937' first='Kaden' last='Webber']. The Rams senior pass catcher (187th overall/19th WR) has steadily improved since his junior year where Webber has enhanced his route running and increased his speed. Sporting good overall size with a frame that can pack on more weight, Webber is an intriguing long term option at receiver that has a chance to boost his stock this Fall with a breakout senior year.

- - - - -

Just Outside Top 200 …….

- The depth inside the TN2027 wide receiver class starts to show in this section with a large group of seniors that have big opportunities in front of them this Fall to put forth big years and take their recruiting stocks to new heights. Some of these guys are their team's top pass catchers while others are stepping into bigger roles. It's a nice collection of receivers that show flashes on film of big league play but may be lacking in several areas when it comes to their physical abilities and traits.

Two-way athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1427702' first='Taren' last='Adonis Claridy'] (213th overall/20th WR) is currently listed with the receivers but could easily be placed with the defensive backs as well. As things sit right now, we like upside as a future college slot receiver that can use his speed to take the top of the defense. Depending on how he performs this season, I could easily see myself switching my mind and moving Claridy over to the secondary in our next update.

There hasn't been a lot of buzz about Dyer Co. senior [player_tooltip player_id='2170108' first='Grant' last='West'] (217th overall/21st WR) up to this point but if he takes off this Fall season like I think he can, watch out for late college interest, maybe even some from the D1 level. The Choctaws pass catcher is a big dude (6'4 190) that runs well, showing agile movements and the ability to catch amongst physical contact. I really like the upside here with West, especially if he continues to develop at the rate he is currently on.

Tall and long with a wide radius that translates well to the college game, Summit wideout [player_tooltip player_id='1708624' first='Micah' last='Sally'] (221st overall/22nd WR) is an under the radar, talented young man that has a chance to boost his stock in a significant way this coming season. He sports all the athletic tools that can excel in college but Sally must increase his mass and overall size to become a more physical presence on the outside.

Much of the same said above can be placed on Independence wideout [player_tooltip player_id='1663276' first='George' last='Mabury']. Ranked 222nd over inside our “Tennessee Top 300”, Mabury is a tall and long pass catcher that runs well, showing athletic flashes on film as well as the ability to work the outside in college. The Eagles senior has good ball skills and overall upside to develop on the next level but Mabury (23rd WR) must get bigger and stronger to become more appealing to collegiate coaches.

Tennessee Top 300

This coming Fall season, [player_tooltip player_id='1865126' first='Desean' last='Brown'] (226th overall/24th WR) has a big opportunity in front of him to become a go-to target and push his stock to new levels. What stands out about this Southwind wideout is his speed off the line and ability to get behind defenders. Brown is a great option down the line to work out of the slot while also presenting upside on special teams. Maryville wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1677444' first='Colton' last='Foust'] (227th overall/25th WR) is another solid slot option that displays excellent speed separation on film along with outstanding hands that show up against physical contact. The Rebels senior wideout isn't the tallest but he makes up for it with athleticism and speed.

Goodpasture Christian senior [player_tooltip player_id='2146264' first='Heath' last='Vinett'] (230th overall/26th WR) is a sleeper prospect to track this Fall season as someone that could break out and move up the rankings during our next update. Quick and shifty with excellent hands, Vinett is a strong slot option in college due to his ability to get behind defenders and make tough, contested catches. If Lincoln Co. senior [player_tooltip player_id='2170010' first='Clint' last='Quick'] (235th overall/27th WR) played at a bigger named program, you might have heard more about this talented pass catcher. The Falcons wideout fits his last name well as Quick sports sudden feet and the ability to get behind defenders with his speed. He has good ball skills as well. I like the next level upside with him as long as he gets bigger and stronger while enhancing his route tree.

Opportunity is there for [player_tooltip player_id='2170189' first='Jimarious' last='Douglas'] (236th overall/28th) to form into one of the better senior prospects coming out of the greater Jackson, Tennessee area this cycle. Looking at his junior highlights, you see a big, broad framed wideout that runs well enough to create space. Douglas sports strong hands and could become more dangerous with enhanced agility and speed. Sitting right behind Douglas at 237th overall, [player_tooltip player_id='2141286' first='Griffin' last='Gagliano'] from CPA is a true hidden gem that has yet to make his mark within his Lions offense but should have a bigger role this Fall where he can show off his athleticism, quick footwork and speed that does translate to the college game.

Ensworth wideout [player_tooltip player_id='906618' first='Levi' last='Isen'] (241st/30th WR) is a guy we added into our “Tennessee Top 300” based on next level potential as he has yet to really gain significant snaps during his time with the Tigers. That should change this season as Isen steps into a bigger role and if he performs like his upside dictates, moving up in our rankings is very possible.

Last month at our Prep Redzone Tennessee Spring Showcase, [player_tooltip player_id='2138257' first='Grayson' last='Degraff'] (242nd overall/31st WR) had a standout performance that opened some eyes towards what he can become on the college stage. Standing 6 '3 190 pounds, this Franklin-Grace pass catcher has the size, speed combo that works well on the outside along with outstanding ball skills that show up against physical contact. I think if Degraff puts together another strong year this Fall, he can work his way into some FCS offers.

Two East Tennessee products in [player_tooltip player_id='1393974' first='Ethan' last='Farhat'] (244th overall/32nd WR) from Farragut and [player_tooltip player_id='2200645' first='Nick' last='Rivers'] (259th overall/33rd WR) out of Hardin Valley are two slot receivers that display big play abilities on film that can be further developed into dangerous offensive weapons in college. Both these guys have potential to break out this Fall and raise their stock while also having the skill sets to become their top team's top go-to targets. I actually expect both to do so because Farhat and Rivers have the kind of upside to take that next step in their respective games.

Looking at the entire receiver class as a whole, it's an impressive collection of prospects as I think everybody listed above will be signing with college programs, ranging all the way from the Power Four level down to the D2 playing stage. I actually think every receiver listed in this article has a shot at signing with at least an FCS program, that's how talented this senior group is and can be after the 2026 season.

It's strong at the top with every player ranked inside the “Top 100” pinpointed for the D1 level but the depth is legit as well. I can see multiple guys ranked lower to rise up this Fall and maneuver themselves into bigger opportunities. This should be a fun group to follow this coming season to see how they develop and which guys take that next step in their progressions. I do see a scenario where the TN2027 receivers improve so much to be considered the top position group coming out of this year's in-state recruiting class.
