Small School Prospects Offer Big-Time Players

With spring practices and college days under way, college camps looming large, and the upcoming fall season right around the corner, we are taking a look ahead at some under-the-radar prospects who plan to make a name for themselves over the next few months. Here are four standouts who pop on film and have taken their recruiting up a notch with strong showings during the spring.    [player_tooltip player_id='1953975' first='JP' last='Butler'] is a key returning starter For Gahanna Lincoln and a proven multi-threat player. HE is an outstanding kick returner who displays good vision upfield, makes defenders miss and goes forward for positive yards. Butler is dynamic in space, and the team likes to use him in that fashion by getting him the ball on end-arounds where he can make plays. Butler has picked up offers throughout May including from Mercyhurst, Tiffin, Thomas More, Findlay, and most-recently, Wheeling.     I love the effort displayed by Buckeye Valley High School offensive tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1706278' first='Miles' last='Hall']. Hall has a quick first step, is a great puller and strong finisher. He is an absolute mauler in the run game who can latch with his hands, drive his feet on contact and create lanes for his tailbacks. Hall also flashes good balance and stays off the ground. Fires forward nicely to the second level. Picked up an offer from Findlay.     Avon High School (Ohio) [player_tooltip player_id='2220660' first='Caeden' last='Bennett'] is a great small school prospect right now but I could see him growing into a legitimate upper-tier prospect when he gets into a college program. Bennett is a very good kickoff returner and dynamic when he gets into space. Very good juice and top-end speed. Six-foot, 170-pound prospect with great adjustment low to the ball and makes great catches over the middle of the field. Walsh University is his first offer.     North Royalton High School offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='2150616' first='Alex' last='Kish'] is a very good guard. He is a physical blocker in both run blocking and pass pro. While he doesn't have ideal size for an offensive lineman, he makes up for it by playing with great effort, tenacity, driving his feet on contact and sustaining rushers. Kish, a high-academic prospect, picked up an offer from Bluffton on Monday.
