On Wednesday, May 6th I was invited down to The Hun School of Princeton by my friend, colleague, and quarterback guru Tony Racioppi as the top school in New Jersey hosted their private, on-campus college showcase.

Because Hun is not governed by the NJSIAA, they are allowed to announce open showcase dates for colleges to visit campus and evaluate their talent. As such, schools including Georgia, West Virginia, Boston College, UMass, Louisville, Florida, Nebraska, Maryland, Monmouth, and Rhode Island - amongst many others, were all in attendance.

The showcase first featured a team dynamic warmup, followed by agility and explosion drills. All these provided myself and the college coaches in attendance to see exactly how athletic and mobile the team was. From there, the team broke into indy periods. I was unaware of the showcase's run of show and as such, I unfortunately did not get an opportunity to evaluate neither defensive linemen nor defensive backs during indy. The event concluded with approximately an hours worth of routes on air.

Getting a first hand look at all the talent Hun has to offer, below are my scouting notes for the prospects specified in the title of this article. These prospects' hometown are in states all across the land.

The headlining receiver for Hun is [player_tooltip player_id='1524399' first='JD' last='Teza']. Out of Manasquan, Teza showed that he can move laterally extremely well, while also manipulating his speed to his advantage, particularly in tight spaces. Additionally, Teza sinks his hips well when snapping off his route and looking to make a 90-degree cut, while proving to be a deep threat who can track the ball over his shoulder with ease. One thing for Teza to be mindful of is that he ought to protect the ball, always, as he finishes.

The second of two former St. Peter's Prep prospects that migrated to Hun School, [player_tooltip player_id='912932' first='Tre' last='Williams'] showcased advanced receiver skills that had him marked as one of my favorites at this showcase. A Jersey City native, Williams ran superb slants. This is most likely due to his clean footwork, where he had no wasted movements. As a result, Williams' routes were all crisp. He moves well and tracks the ball over his shoulder nicely, too.

A prospect that I saw twice in the same week, [player_tooltip player_id='1269660' first='Shreeman' last='Rawal'] was one I liked a lot. Departing a program that has teetered between varsity and sub-varsity eligibility in Plainsboro, Rawal now finds himself at the state's football bastion. I thought that this youngster was a sneaky mover, as he surprised me the more I watched of him. Rawal looked really good at times, particularly when running in routes and when forced to adjust to the ball. He can recover when his feet split as well. There was one mental error that occurred during a drill, but improving his quick twitch muscle fibers will be the biggest benefit for Rawal.

A product the state's capitol of nearby Trenton, TJ Tift was a prospect that I thought showed up better on deeper, straight line routes. I opine that making several cuts is not the strongest part of his game. I noted that he required cleaner footwork on slants - which produced routes that were not crisp - and he uses his body, not hands, to catch the ball.
