Norris 7v7 Tournament | Adams Central Standouts

There were nine different teams in attendance and 10 teams in total (Norris V and JV) that filled up the stadium with high-flying action from start to finish. As part of my coverage, I will be highlighting some of the top players from each team today, starting with the Adams Central Patriots. Riley was solid as he worked through some growing pains of the QB position. Riley showed he can deliver the ball into tight windows and throw with good timing to find his receiver in stride. There are still some areas for improvement, such as footwork, but he showed the mobility to evade defenders and extend plays with his legs. I was very impressed with this two-way star for the Patriots, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Trey did a very good job of flowing over the middle of the field, displaying the range to break on the ball even when deep downfield. He shows solid closing speed to meet the ball at the receiver and the ball skills to get his hands up to defend the pass. Good instincts in coverage. As a receiver, Trey shows the twitch to make defenders whiff on tackles. This was just one instance in which Bishop showed great hands and body control while adjusting to passes. He runs solid routes with good instincts for finding space in coverage. Blecha is also willing to get physical with opposing DBs and can more than hold his own on contested catches.
