*Johnson30 gives you 30% off your Prep Redzone subscription. No better time to subscribe than now*

It was another great Minnesconsin Mega Camp experience for us at Prep Redzone WI! The UWRF staff handled their HC changes, among others, really well and put on a very impressive camp with nearly 1000 kids making the trip to campus. Despite the huge numbers the staff did a great job of breaking it into an OL/DL group, skill position group, and specialists group that all performed at different times so coaches could watch more closely. They also do a great job of getting kids in smaller groups so that they can get their money's worth in reps. With this being the largest camp in the state it gives me the chance to get a first look at so many athletes and that was no different this year. Our focus in this article is on the skill players who gave me my first look and dominated doing it. Let's dig in!

One of the best athletes of the entire camp was Onalaska RB [player_tooltip player_id='2235668' first='Kaeson' last='Stettler']. The kid checked so many boxes with his performance. He has the size to walk in and play at 6'2" 193 lbs. At that size Kaeson proved to have high level athleticism running a 4.58 40, jumping 37" in the vertical, and 9'5" in the broad and adding in a 4.53 pro agility. It wasn't just the combine where he was showing off the explosiveness. In drill work it was really impressive to watch how powerful he was coming out of cuts or while changing direction on a dime. Seeing the athleticism and agility shine through and then go to the tape and also see the physicality that he runs with makes me believe that this is one of the best RBs in the state and arguably the best uncommitted one still out there. Coaches you need to watch this kid's tape.

https://twitter.com/Kaeson_Stettler/status/2067412630487089248

The next man up at River Falls high school looks like it will be [player_tooltip player_id='1709850' first='Colton' last='Nesbitt']. That's a pretty great succession line for RF who will now turn to the 6'6" 190 lbs, big armed QB. Colton sure looks the part with that frame and when we got to the field for drills and 1v1s we saw that he has the arm to match. Colton is light on his feet, probably stemming from his basketball background, getting through his drop quickly and able to instantly transition to his delivery at the top of his drop. The '28's passes naturally come out of the big man's hand with noticeable zip that could drive the ball to spots all over the field. I'm very excited to watch him lead the River Falls team this fall.

It was great to get an up close look at [player_tooltip player_id='1471141' first='Noah' last='Laber'], the DB out of Regis in Eau Claire. Noah definitely looked like someone who will be on th rise for us during our next update. He started the day off by destroying the combine. The Regis athlete checked in at 6' 160 lbs, ran a 4.53 40, 4.31 pro agility, jumped 9'7" in the broad, and added a 32.2" vertical jump. That wasn't even the best part of his day. That was when we got to 1v1s. I was lucky enough to catch a couple of his reps and the kid is extremely twitchy. He has all the reactive athleticism you could want in a CB out on an island. Noah was very quick to close on the catch points too and disrupted multiple passes for PBUs. This kid put the clamps on people and should be someone that a lot of coaches are pursuing. He is a legitimate CB talent.

https://twitter.com/NLaber17872/status/2068011591681913079

At 5'7" 140 lbs the RB out of Chippewa Falls might not be for everyone. But when you have a weakness like that you need to find ways to make up for it. That is what Gavin does and has proven during the Minnesconsin Mega Camp. He verified that he is a legitimate athlete in the backfield running a 4.62 40, 4.53 pro agility, 9'2" broad jump, and a 37.8" vertical. Those numbers were intriguing so I made sure to catch a few reps when we went to the grass for drills and 1v1s. Down there the dynamic playmaker left his mark. His ability to create mismatches is the key to his game. LBs simply can't run with him and 1 on 1 in space they are no match as he can cut on a dime and with a stride or two be almost back to 100% top end speed. It is electric to watch. The 2027 could be a nice spark plug for an offense at the next level.

Technically this isn't my "First Look" at [player_tooltip player_id='1251531' first='Joshua' last='Formolo'] out of Muskego, but this is our first look since the 2027 was a freshman. He has come a long ways since then. The now 6' 203 lbs RB put together a really solid day at the Minnesconsin camp. He started with a 4.85 40, 32.1" vertical, and an 8'9" broad jump. But it was the fieldwork that had me most excited. Joshua did really well running with the ball in his hands showing some powerful lateral agility, cuts, and jump cuts. A lot of his reps highlighted his ability to not have to give up much speed while executing those cuts. It also really stood out how well he was catching the ball. Especially as one of the larger backs, he made it look easy with catches quick over the middle, out to the sideline, and downfield. I'm excited to see his role in the Muskego offense this fall. Definitely a potential sleeper to keep your eyes on.

This 2027 WR might be the athlete I have heard the most buzz about this summer. Everywhere he goes he puts up some of the best testing numbers. That was no different at the Minnesconsin Mega Camp where Isaac ran a 4.61 40, an insane 4.19 shuttle, 10'1" broad jump, and a 35.1" vertical jump. All with a 6'1" 180 lbs frame. Then we took the field and the WR/DB won reps on both sides of the ball. Aoki is such a smooth athlete. At WR he is able to get off the line quickly and get to top speed in a hurry. He flashes smooth route running with the savviness to add in head fakes to get DBs to bite. At DB the long athlete was able to run stride for stride with guys because of his twitchy agility and overall speed. Aoki is one heck of an athlete and a steal in our Class of 2027 here in WI. You need to check him out, coaches.

https://twitter.com/Isaacyoke/status/2067610809186836931

[player_tooltip player_id='2103598' first='Isaiah' last='Flowers'] of Green Bay Preble put together a strong showing at the Minnesconsin Mega Camp. One that earned him an offer from the reigning D3 National Champions, UWRF. The 5'10" 170 lbs playmaker ran a 4.66 40, 4.31 shuttle, 9'9" broad jump, and a 33.8" vertical. Great numbers across the board. Especially that 4.31 shuttle because it perfectly matches how Isaiah plays on the field. He definitely has the speed for the next level, but what makes him special is the quick twitch athleticism. The way he can get off the line or get in and out of breaks in the blink of an eye to create separation is his strength. The 2027 WR was creating space all afternoon in River Falls. I recommend getting the Green Bay native on your radar. He has offers from River Falls and Bemidji State.

https://twitter.com/IsaiahFlowers01/status/2067993866922233940

This is another exciting weapon who crushed the day at the Minnesconsin Mega Camp. Grayson is an electric athlete and he let it be known right from the start. The 5'10" 170 lbs RB ran a 4.6 40, 4.59 shuttle, 9'9" broad jump, and a 37" vertical. Explosive athleticism across the board. The numbers and traits he demonstrated matches what the tape shows. Grayson is an athlete who can carve up a defense. He is so quick through gaps and can make you miss in a phone booth 1on 1. Plus on tape we see a kid that will run tough and grind out yards after contact. Grayson will be an athlete who rises for us this summer. His performance earned him an offer from UW- River Falls.

https://twitter.com/arn_grayson2/status/2067990047056421086

What a day for the 2027 Altoona RB! Ryan verified that he has the tools to play at the next level with his 4.50 40, 4.4 pro agility, 9'6" broad jump, and 37.3" vertical. All while playing with a prototypical 6' 197 lbs frame. The size and athleticism fits his role with Altoona really well where he plays FB in their offense. He gets plenty of touches there and can use his athleticism to attack between the tackle or press the hole and jump cut out off tackle and show off the speed he has. Ryan showed that same ability to cut quick and suddenly during drill work at UWRF. Don't overlook this sleeper RB. he holds an offer from St. Norbert's.

An 8 man athlete from here in WI who stood out at the Minnesconsin Mega Camp is [player_tooltip player_id='2126802' first='Luke' last='Andersen'], a WR from McDonell Central Catholic. The reigning 8 man State Champions. In big part due to Luke's production. Luke proved at camp that his tools are worthy of the next level. He ran a 4.56 40, 4.62 shuttle, jumped 32.2" in the vertical, and 9'8.5" in the broad twice. On top of the athletic gifts, Luke has proven over and over again that he is a WR who is going to find a way to come down with the football. He has strong hands and can track and adjust to the ball so well. He is an unfair mismatch in 8 man where he is coming off a 1,000+ yard season with 20 TDs. Come get a steal coaches. Luke currently has an offer from UW-Eau Claire.
