Five Players I Liked At the Miami-Ohio Mega Camp (Pt. 1)

So many prospects in one spot made for great opportunities to evaluate players. Meerdink has good hand-eye coordination, high-points the ball, and displays great body adjustment. He has offers from Cincinnati, North Carolina, Toledo, Bowling Green, among others. Class of 2027 recruit killed it during one-on-ones, flashing excellent ball skills and great body adjustment in traffic. Has ability to go up for the ball, win contested catches, and make acrobatic grabs. Not very fast or dynamic after the catch but is a sure-handed wideout who has great hands. The 6-foot-4, 270-pounder has a quick first step and flashes twitch. He has a good swim move over the top with good use-of-hands. He is also an offensive tackle for his high school team, where he is very mobile, quick to pull, find a moving second-level target and strike with his hands. He displays ability to make acrobatic grabs in tight coverage, high-points the ball effectively and can be a good route runner. He can pursue, takes great angles to the ball and deliver some big hits. What impressed me at the camp the most about him was his ability to get his head around and play the ball in coverage, good carry and cover fades. Consistent and good use of hands to break up passes.
