Five Lexington OL to Watch in 2026

As we get deeper into the month of June, the 2026 high school football season is getting closer and closer. The offseason is in full swing and players across the state of Kentucky are looking to make a name for themselves. With that being said, I wanted to take a look at the city of Lexington in particular and highlight some players at each position to keep an eye on this season. After already covering the offensive skill players, here are five offensive linemen to watch in Lexington this upcoming season.    [player_tooltip player_id='1284258' first='Rahzeon' last='Gillispie'] is one of the top returning offensive linemen in the state for this upcoming season. He lines up at left tackle where he is very impressive as run blocker, especially when asked to down block. Gillispie is explosive out of his stance and drives straight through his man to take them out of the picture and create a running lane for the ball carrier. He has also proven to be reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to get into his pass sets to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge with ease. Gillispie holds multiple Division I offers and I expect them to continue piling up for him this summer.     [player_tooltip player_id='1222652' first='Xavier' last='Carter'] is another member of the Frederick Douglass offensive line unit who has stood out to me. Carter is a mauler in the run game from the right tackle spot. He does a great job of running his feet through contact to drive his man off the line of scrimmage with ease and finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, often ending in a pancake block. In pass protection, he has shown the footwork to get into his pass sets quickly along with the ability to keep a strong base while taking on contact. Xavier currently holds offers from UT-Martin, Southern Mississippi, and Thomas More, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more come his way soon.     [player_tooltip player_id='871924' first='Jeremiah' last='Moore'] has been one of the most impressive offensive linemen in Lexington over the past couple seasons. He is the leader of the Bryan Station offensive line at center. Moore is a dominant run blocker, showing the ability to get his snap off quickly then step to his man with a sense of urgency. Once he gets locked on to his man, he uses his leg drive to take them down the field with ease and has shown the ability to finish his blocks through the whistle on a consistent basis. Moore holds an offer from Kentucky State and I fully expect more to come his way going into his senior year.     [player_tooltip player_id='2105821' first='Nick' last='Greer'] is coming off a very impressive sophomore year. He played a key role in LCA's state title run this past season as their starting center. Greer has shown impressive athleticism and the ability to operate smoothly in space as he is often asked to pull from the center spot and is very effective when doing so. Nick also plays with a ton of physicality, frequently finishing his blocks several yards down the field with a pancake. He has also shown the ability to find work in pass protection after the snap while maintaining a strong base, not allowing for much penetration into the pocket. Greer recently picked up his first offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect a lot of college coaches to have their eyes on his this upcoming season.     My final offensive lineman to watch in Lexington this upcoming season is [player_tooltip player_id='857248' first='Matthew' last='Montgomery']. Montgomery lines up at right guard where he is a very reliable run blocker. He plays with a high motor, showing the ability to pull and get out in the open field with a sense of urgency to pick up blocks. Montgomery has also shown a powerful initial punch which he is able to use to knock defenders off balance with ease. In pass protection, Montgomery gets into his pass sets quickly and has shown the ability to fight with his hands to defeat
