Explosion:

[player_tooltip player_id='2073254' first='Mohamed' last='Darboh'] - Des Moines Lincoln

One of the prospects that has rightly begun to receiver Division I offers this summer, [player_tooltip player_id='2073254' first='Mohamed' last='Darboh'] finished last year as the 5A leader amongst juniors in sacks with 12.5. Playing for a team that had their struggles last season, Darboh still got his, largely thanks to his burst off the edge of the defensive line. Opposing OL couldn't keep up with how fast the All-State pass-rusher at the snap, making for a double-digit sack season during his junior campign.

Size and Frame:

[player_tooltip player_id='2110269' first='Jerrence' last='Knoblock'] - West Lyon

At 6-foot-6 and 220-pound defensive lineman for the 1A state champions, one of Knoblock's calling cards in his recruitment is his size. You can't teach height, and Knoblock is the size to get his mitts up and swatt down passes, reach out and get his hand in on the ball as the quarterback goes to throw it, pull down runners and QBs who drop back to pass, and more. The future Hawkeye will likely have opportunities at both defensive end and the three-tech defensive tackle position thanks to his frame.

Run-Stopping Skills:

[player_tooltip player_id='2080047' first='Cael' last='Dop'] - Southeast Warren

Dop lived in opposing backfields this last season. Finishing first amongst juniors with a monstrous 26 tackles for loss, Dop's bull-rush was way too overwhelming for almost any 8-man offensive lineman to handle. Dop's ability to extend his arms and shirk off OL all season long gave him the ability to rack up silly numbers for Southeast Warren.

Pass-Rushing Skills

[player_tooltip player_id='1283377' first='Lucas' last='Diehl'] - Kuemper Catholic

Speaking of silly numbers, Diehl finished second in the state in all classes and first amongst juniors in sacks this last season, finishing 2025 with 14. A major reason why Kuemper was so dominant en route to winning the 2A state championship in Cedar Falls, the North Dakota State commit couldn't be stopped in pursuit of the quarterback last season thanks to his devstating swim move and too-much-to-handle size.

Violence/Motor:

[player_tooltip player_id='2090925' first='Carter' last='Wright'] - Woodbury Central

Another double-digit sack-getter in the junior class, Wright finished with 12.5 last season, largely thanks to the brutality with which he played the sport. Playing like he had opposing ball-carriers in his crosshairs on every single play, Wright was a terror for any northwest Iowa offensive lineman to deal with. Another talented player for the Wildcats that should give them a chance at reaching the UNI-Dome next fall, Wright didn't care who he was facing off against at the line of scrimmage -- he was ready to pummel them, and whoever had the ball, into the ground.
